Chapter 80 Canโ€™t Date

Meryl hastily let go of Chandlerโ€™s clothes and got off him.

Unexpectedly, Chandler reached out his arm, suddenly pulled her tightly against him, and brought her back.

โ€œWerenโ€™t you bold when you were seducing me earlier? Got cold feet now?โ€

Merylโ€™s cheeks rested against Chandlerโ€™s chest muscles, because she had just torn open his shirt. They closely touched each other.

Chandler held her by the waist tightly.

That was her ticklish spot, and instinctively, she wanted to escape, her smooth cheeks rubbing against his chest.

Chandler tightened his grip on her waist, grunted, and said, โ€œCall me honey, and if Iโ€™m satisfied, Iโ€™ll let you go.โ€

Meryl was speechless.

She remained silent, and he teased, โ€œCome on. Say it.โ€

Like a docile kitten, Meryl lay on his sturdy chest, completely trapped in Chandlerโ€™s arms, and had no chance to struggle.

She tried to move away while being mindful of her stiff neck.

Finding herself helpless, Meryl called out a few times, but Chandler was not satisfied.

Frowning, she suddenly opened her mouth and bit down hard on Chandlerโ€™s broad shoulder.

Chandler squinted his eyes, thinking, โ€œLittle kitten, you even bite?โ€

The bite sent a sharp pain through his shoulder. He felt twin flames of irritation within him.

Such resistance seemed like tickling to Chandler, and he laughed wickedly.

โ€œMrs. Aniston, you havenโ€™t forgotten you still owe me a wedding night, have you?โ€

Meryl didnโ€™t let go, and Chandler didnโ€™t make a move, just sitting on the couch, letting her bite.

However, Meryl was about to give in. Chandlerโ€™s words left her in a dilemma. She was unsure whether to persist or let go.

In her moment of hesitation, Chandlerโ€™s hand slid down from her waist.

He gave Meryl a meaningful look, turned his head, and kissed her earlobe, his breathing deepening.

This time, he was serious, unlike the playful kisses before.

A tingling sensation shot up from her back, leaving Merylโ€™s mind blank.

Chandlerโ€™s smile grew as he prepared to move even closer.

Overwhelmed by the kiss, Meryl was caught off guard when her phone suddenly rang at this inopportune time.

Instinctively, she tried to answer, but Chandler held her waist firmly.

She thought, โ€œNever mind. Itโ€™s probably not an important call.โ€

She lay dizzily in his arms, letting him do as he pleased.

Her phone rang until it went to voicemail and then rang again.

Such interruptions were inevitably a mood killer.

Initially, they both were feeling the moment, but it was abruptly broken.

Eventually, Chandler let go of Meryl.

When one wasnโ€™t fully engaged, the other could sense it keenly.

He noticed that Merylโ€™s mind was on the incoming call.

He did not take advantage of her.

Meryl answered the call, and Chandler headed into the bathroom.

Biancaโ€™s voice sounded displeased.

โ€œMeryl, I went through so much trouble to arrange a marriage for you. How can you be so ungrateful? I asked Dalton. Galaxy Holdings Group doesnโ€™t have any rules against employees dating!โ€

After hearing her words, Meryl was confused and responded, โ€œWhat are you talking about? Who said Galaxy Holdings Group employees canโ€™t date?โ€

โ€œDidnโ€™t you say last night that Galaxy Holdings Group has a rule against employee dating, and thatโ€™s why you rejected him?โ€

Bianca got angrier thinking about it. โ€œWhat kind of lame excuse is that? Are you still hung up on Dalton, hoping to marry him?โ€
