Chapter 102: After returning from Muisvedo, Allison went to the Green family villa to bid Rebecca farewell.

Rebecca's eyes widened in disbelief at the news. "You're leaving, Allison? I can't believe it! My house is huge; there's more than enough room for you!" Tears welled in Rebecca's eyes at the thought of Allison moving. "What am I going to do if you leave? I'll be so worried. As long as you're here, in Green family territory, no one will dare harm you. Besides, I'll miss you terribly."

Allison, surprised by Rebecca's strong reaction, offered a small, helpless smile. "We're both overwhelmed lately. Your father's been dragging you to the company almost every day, and I need to be closer to the servers in Muisvedo. It's more practical for me to move."

Seeing Rebecca about to protest, Allison gently patted her head. "It'll be alright. I'll visit when I have free time."

Rebecca, knowing Allison well, understood that her decisions were final. Sighing, she hugged Allison tightly. "Okay, but promise me: if anything dangerous happens, you'll call me immediately."

Allison smiled and nodded. "Of course."

The next morning, however, her phone rang, displaying Keanu's name. Allison frowned, wondering if he was calling for Lindy's medicine. Suspicious, she answered, only to hear Lindy's voice: "Allison, I hate to bother you, but Keanu's condition has worsened. He's coughing up blood. The private doctor is with him, but he keeps asking for you. He gets worse every time he sees Colton. I had no choice but to call."

Allison froze. Keanu had always been so kind to her, like a grandfather. With no family of her own, their bond meant everything. Without hesitation, she gathered her things and rushed downstairs.

She arrived at Villa Stevens in a flash. However, only Lindy and Colton were waiting in the living room. "You're finally here, Allison," Lindy said with a strained smile. Colton looked pale and exhausted, clearly suffering from a severe migraine. His deferential greeting to Allison was almost touching. Colton, on the other hand, appeared disgruntled; five hours trapped in Muisvedo's mosquito-infested warehouse the previous night had left him itching and irritable. Seeing Allison was the last thing he wanted. Allison, having long seen through their facades, was in no mood for pleasantries. "Where's Keanu?" she asked directly.

Lindy forced a smile. "I know you care about him, but he's been moved to a high-level facility on Etron. You don't have to worry."

"But you said on the phone that a private doctor was treating him here…"

In that instant, the truth hit her—it was a trap. They had used Keanu against her. Her face darkened, and she stood to leave, but Lindy lunged, grabbing her arm. Tears glistened in her eyes as she clutched her head. "Allison, I know I haven't been perfect, but these past three years I've really tried. I didn't take you to every important event, I didn't get you every luxury item the moment it was released...I've always treated you like my own daughter. You're far more capable than Melany. I had my reasons, and I understand your resentment, but…"

Allison had seen this performance too many times. Lindy's manipulation mirrored Melany's. Coldly, she shook off Lindy's grip. "Why are you telling me this now? We reconciled the day I divorced Colton. Your daughter-in-law is Melany, not me."

Lindy's face tightened at the mention of Melany; a flash of anger flickered beneath the surface. "If it weren't for Melany's meddling, none of this would have happened." Still, she didn't give up. "All I ask is that you use your contacts to get me more medicine. You'll be well compensated. You won't lose."
