Chapter 116

The Lloyd family was in a state of total disarray. Kellan's face darkened upon learning that Kinslee had disappeared from the residence, vanishing from the surveillance footage without a trace. His eyes flashed with fury; his expression was the calm before a storm.

"You've found her?" Kellan demanded, his voice icy as he addressed Sherman. "Why are they paid at this ridiculous residence? All the staff, and yet they lose an old lady! Fire every single one of them!"

Sherman, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, nodded profusely. "I'll get to it, Mr. Lloyd." He had just received the news himself: Kinslee was missing. The entire residence was plunged into chaos, panic spreading among the staff. This wasn't the first time; kidnappers had targeted Kinslee before, using her as leverage against the Lloyd family. But this carelessness was unacceptable; the staff was long overdue for a harsh lesson.

"Mr. Lloyd, please stay calm," Sherman said. "Surveillance shows Ms. Lloyd left on her own. There are no signs of kidnapping. In fact, it seems she just left. We've already dispatched search parties."

Sherman glanced at his phone. A sigh of relief escaped him. "Mr. Lloyd, we've found her."

Kellan blinked. "She's...in bed?" Sherman stammered, incredulous. His people had searched the entire facility, including the dangerous nearby woods, only to find Kinslee back in her bed, safe and sound. It was nonsensical, like something from a ghost story.

Just then, the residence director burst in, bowing deeply. His clothes were damp with sweat, his voice trembling. "Mr. Lloyd, someone brought Mrs. Lloyd back. We've checked the surveillance footage," he stammered. "It was a masked man in black who took her. He avoided the cameras; the only thing we have is a blurry shot of his back."

Kellan's fury erupted. He hurled his cup against the wall; the crash echoed like thunder. "You didn't even realize she was missing, and now you don't know who brought her back? But when I invest millions yearly, suddenly you're experts? That's it!"

The director fell to his knees, panting. "We are so sorry, Mr. Lloyd! We'll investigate immediately!"

Kellan's voice turned to ice. "Give my grandmother a complete medical checkup. Ensure all tests are accurate. As soon as she's stable, move her to a secure location."

Without waiting for a response, he examined the surveillance footage on his phone. The figure in black wore a glowing silver mask; his slender frame was barely visible. Kellan's eyes narrowed. Something about the man's movements was eerily familiar.

"Find him," Kellan demanded. "I want everything: his origin, his destination, everything. And double my grandmother's security. Twenty-four-hour surveillance."

This man hadn't kidnapped Kinslee, but his abilities were terrifying. He'd bypassed multiple layers of security with ease, and somehow gained Kinslee's trust enough to return her unharmed. It made no sense. Why would this mysterious man risk so much to bring her back?

Kellan's gaze darkened as he addressed the director. His voice dropped dangerously. "If this happens again, you know what awaits you."

The director, drenched in sweat, stammered, "Yes, Mr. Lloyd! I swear it won't happen again!" Everyone knew Kellan Lloyd's capabilities. A word from him, and this entire facility could vanish, its personnel along with it. Some might even become a distant memory.
