Chapter 235: Keanu steadied himself, glaring at Colton with deep disappointment etched on his face. "If you're going to make such serious accusations against Allison, you'd better have concrete evidence to back them up, and in front of everyone," he declared. "Otherwise, even if you are my grandson, you won't escape the consequences of framing her."

Colton's jaw tightened, but he didn't flinch. "I'm telling the truth," he insisted. "I'll show you Allison's true colors!" He pulled out his phone and projected a video onto the screen.

The footage showed a scene from the previous week. Deandre exited his car, looking around cautiously. Moments later, Allison approached him from behind, and the two shared a brief, seemingly intimate embrace. The camera zoomed in, capturing snippets of their conversation.

"The headquarters has been auditing the accounts recently," Deandre's low, comforting voice said. "Is something going on? What are you so worried about? With me around, do you really think I'd let anything happen to you? After all these years, handling something like this is child's play."

Despite clear visuals, the audio was slightly muffled, as if tampered with. As the video ended, whispers rippled through the room, and all eyes turned to Allison.

But Allison simply leaned back, resting her head on her hand, a faint, amused smile playing on her lips. She remained unfazed; her calmness was unsettling. Colton's agitation grew as he watched her reaction. He remembered his own fury when Melany first showed him the footage. Yet now… why wasn't Allison panicking?

"Mr. Stevens," Allison drawled, her voice laced with mockery, "it seems your intelligence isn't quite as sharp as I thought." She gestured casually at the screen. "Take a closer look. Notice how the edges of the figures are blurred? And at the twenty-five-second mark—see how the supporting wall in the background distorts? This video has clearly been edited."

Allison wasn't sure whether she felt more amused or disappointed. She couldn't believe this was the man she had once cared for. "Mr. Stevens," she continued, "when you presented this video, did it even occur to you to verify its authenticity first?"

Colton scoffed, his tone dripping with derision. "Other than making excuses, what else are you good at? This video is crystal clear, and you're just grasping at straws! Face it—you're nothing but a habitual liar!" He fully trusted the evidence Melany had given him. Turning to Keanu, he pleaded, "Grandpa, surely you believe me now?"

"Believe what?" Keanu snapped, his voice sharp and unwavering.

"Grandfather!" Colton stared, incredulous. "You've lost your mind! And Allison—she's even interfered with the company audit!"

Allison's expression hardened at his brazen accusation; her gaze met Colton's steadily. "Whether Keanu has been deceived or not is not for you to decide," she retorted icily. "Only now do I fully understand the depths of your selfishness. Three years of marriage, and I was stationed at the branch office for just three months. If I truly intended to embezzle ten million dollars, do you honestly think Deandre would risk his neck helping me? Besides, he had no authority over the audits. Do you really believe I have the power to manipulate the entire accounting system of the Stevens Group?" Her voice grew stronger with each word, cutting through the room.

Colton's silence only intensified her disdain. She understood why his business had never thrived; he lacked business acumen. He was too gullible, too easily fooled. "Or maybe," she added with a mocking smile, "you're suggesting I've planted a mole in the auditing department?"

Colton furrowed his brows, clearly confused.

Allison paused, caught off guard. Couldn't he even comprehend her meaning? She was momentarily speechless, shocked by his foolishness.

Just then, Melany interjected smoothly and insidiously, "Allison, even if the video was edited, it still shows your connection to the CEO. Perhaps your marriage to the Stevens family was just a front. There were rumors that you and Deandre knew each other long before this." Of course, it was a lie Melany had concocted.

Allison scoffed. "I've already told you how ridiculous this is, but you refused to listen. That video was filmed last week. I was tutoring at the time and later had dinner with a friend. There's surveillance footage to prove it. Or do you think I've somehow developed the ability to be in two places at once, Mr. Stevens?"

This time, Colton wisely refrained from asking, "When did you gain that ability?" Instead, a flicker of suspicion darkened his eyes, though his face remained impassive. "Is that so?" he asked slowly, his voice low and cold. "Then why don't you show us your evidence?"

Allison opened her mouth to respond, but faltered. Mentioning tutoring for the Lloyd family would drag Kellan into this. Her hesitation only strengthened Colton's doubts. His gaze turned disdainful, a sneer forming on his lips. "You have no proof, do you? You're just making this up."

Before Allison could respond, a deep, authoritative voice cut through the tense silence. "Who said she doesn't have proof?"
