Chapter 132

Samson and Spike waited outside together. When Zach emerged, they immediately stood up and approached him. They called out, “Zach, we haven’t found out who did it yet.”

“There’s no need to investigate anymore. Arrest Gary!” Zach’s eyes were filled with killing intent and boundless anger.

Samson and Spike exchanged glances. Spike immediately sprang into action, while Samson said, “Zach, you promised Benjamin to spare their lives. Now, he has crossed my line. I will not let him off easily!”

“How is Elvira? Do you want my wife to come over and keep her company?” Ever since they married, Samson had shed his playful nature. Every day, he talked incessantly about his wife. He doted on Olivia as if she were his darling. Therefore, he understood Zach’s anger. Whoever dared to touch his wife, he would fight to the death!

“She’s asleep. Let her rest.” When Zach mentioned Elvira, his eyes softened with gentleness and love.

Samson nodded.

At this moment, Gary was on the run. He knew that as long as Zach knew the truth, he wouldn’t let him go. Leonard had told him to leave Jersten.

Leonard and Mandy were twins, but Leonard differed from his sister. He wasn't interested in the Gilbert family business, so he disagreed with what his parents and siblings had done all these years. He had never participated in the Gilbert family's overseas affairs.

Recently, he had heard that his parents, brothers, and sisters were restless again. He sensed something was about to happen, so he dropped his current tasks and hurried back.

Leonard knew Zach was not to be trifled with, but his parents, brothers, and sisters always disregarded this fact. Sure enough, he arrived in time and prevented Gary from committing the heinous act.

Leonard knew things were going to be difficult. Gary was caught at the airport, about to board a plane when Spike apprehended him. In the end, Gary was knocked unconscious by Spike and taken away.

When Leonard heard the news, he knew Gary couldn't escape Zach this time. He couldn’t save Gary now. The only thing Leonard could do was wait for Zach to deal with Gary before finding a good doctor for him.

When Zach returned, he reeked of blood. He went to the ward and checked on Elvira, who was still sleeping soundly. Then, he went to the bathroom to shower.

After washing away the smell of blood and changing into clean clothes, he went to bed and hugged Elvira to sleep.

Elvira didn’t sleep well. Yesterday’s incident had cast a shadow over her. Zach hugged her tighter. Elvira smelled his familiar and reassuring scent. Only then could she sleep peacefully.

When Calvin and Judy returned home, they were both in low spirits. Amber was worried to see her daughter unhappy. She took her hand and asked, “Why are you back so early? Didn’t you say many important people were at tonight’s banquet? Why didn’t you stay longer?”

“We were chased out,” Judy said, tears welling in his eyes.

Karen’s expression hardened. She frowned and asked, “You were chased out? Why? We just won the entrance ticket to Haven Plaza!”

“It was all because of Elvira and Zach. Karen, Elvira lied to the whole family. My brother-in-law isn’t poor. He’s the CEO of the Gilbert Group! It’s the most powerful company in the city,” Judy said, aggrieved.

Judy’s words stunned the Willis family. Vincent exclaimed, “The poor guy you’re talking about is the CEO of the Gilbert Group?”

“Yes, I just can’t understand it. We’re all family. Why didn’t Elvira tell us the truth? She even got Zach to chase us out of the banquet. She’s heartless,” Judy said, aggrieved.

“Are you serious? That man is really the CEO of the Gilbert Group?” Karen asked, frowning in disbelief.

Amber was shocked, then angry. How could Elvira marry so well? She had heard of the Gilbert Group; it was an entity everyone envied and sought a connection with.

“Karen, it must be true. Jason and other big shots were very respectful to him.” Judy was secretly angry. She still couldn't believe Elvira had exploited this to marry so well.

“Elvira is too presumptuous. How can she be worthy of such a high-ranking person? No, we have to make her get a divorce immediately!” Karen frowned.

Vincent glanced at her. “Karen, you thought that man was so poor that you wanted Elvira to get a divorce. Now that you know he’s the CEO of the Gilbert Group, why do you still want Elvira to get a divorce?” Vincent couldn’t understand his mother’s thinking.

“What do you know? As the saying goes, ‘walking with a king is like walking with a tiger.’ Don’t you know Elvira’s personality? With her personality, she’ll offend the Gilbert family sooner or later. When that happens, it will affect our family’s career!” Karen snorted coldly. When she mentioned Elvira, her eyes were filled with disdain and disgust.

“Karen is right. Elvira’s personality is too unlikable. If she angers the Gilbert family and they come after our family, wouldn’t it be as simple as crushing an ant? It’s better to quickly get Elvira to divorce that person!” Amber agreed.

“But Elvira won’t listen to us. She’s telling everyone she has nothing to do with the Willis family now,” Judy said.
