Chapter 297

The bodyguards looked around but did not see Honey. They quickly reported this to Elvira, who was a little worried about Honey's safety. After all, Honey was still underage. If anything happened to her, her life might be ruined. She called Cole and told him about Honey's situation, asking him to help find her. Cole agreed.

Elvira put down the phone and returned to the ward. Zach was awake. He looked at her and asked, “What happened?”

“Honey hasn’t returned yet. I was worried about her and got someone to look for her. How are you feeling today? Does your chest still hurt?” Elvira didn’t want him to worry too.

Zach frowned slightly and said, “I’m much better. You don’t have to worry about me. Get someone to go out and look for her.”

“I’ve already sent them out. Let’s wait and see.” Elvira could only wait for news. Zach knew that she was anxious, so he said something else to distract her.

After Cole answered Elvira’s call, his first reaction was that Archer was behind this. He immediately called Archer, but no one answered. He called twice, but it was the same. An unfamiliar message was sent to his phone: an address.

When Cole saw the address, he rushed to an abandoned building. Going upstairs, he heard a girl’s desperate scream, frowned, and quickly rushed towards the sound. He saw a man pressing down on Honey, about to forcefully defile her. When he rushed over, the people guarding her rushed to stop him, but they were all beaten down.

Just as Honey was in despair, the man was suddenly pulled away. Cole directly kicked him away and, at the same time, took off his coat and covered Honey, whose clothes had been torn apart.

Honey was scared out of her wits. When she saw Cole, she felt close to him. She rushed over and hugged him tightly, crying in fear.

Cole glared at the attackers angrily. They quickly retreated. This was clearly an act; Honey was truly frightened. Cole wanted to push her away, but she hugged him tightly again and cried pitifully.

Cole was a little impatient. He wanted to scold Archer for using such a dirty trick, but he didn’t know where he was. All he wanted to do now was quickly send Honey back to Elvira.

With Honey’s current state, Cole didn’t dare send her to Elvira. He was worried that Elvira would realize this was a show and suspect his involvement.

Cole felt annoyed thinking about this. He became even more annoyed when he heard Honey crying non-stop. He said coldly, “You’re already safe. Don’t cry!”

Honey was still crying non-stop. Cole couldn’t dare send her back like this. He could only ask patiently, “Do you want to eat? I’ll bring you to eat something delicious as long as you stop crying.”

It seemed that Honey liked delicious food, especially desserts. He hoped that would stop her crying.

Honey calmed down a little. She looked at him and said, “Send me back to the hospital. I want to be with Elvira.”

“No way!” Cole refused decisively. If Elvira saw Honey like this, he knew she would be furious.

“Why?” Honey asked in confusion.

“She’ll be worried when she sees you like this. She’s pregnant now. It’s already very tiring for her to take care of Zach every day. Do you want to cause her trouble again?” Cole naturally didn’t want to cause trouble for Elvira.

Honey felt his words made sense. She also knew that Elvira had been working hard every day to take care of Zach. She didn’t want to add to her worry. Honey didn’t suspect this was a planned incident at all. She believed he had come to save her and had a good impression of him.

“Then I won’t be going back. Thank you for saving me just now,” Honey thanked him.

“You don’t have to thank me. It was Elvira who asked me to look for you,” Cole replied indifferently.

“Still, thank you.” Honey finally stopped crying, but she was still very afraid. Only then did she realize that the world was really too dangerous and her family was right about it.

“There’s a women’s clothing store up ahead. I’ll go buy you a set of clothes and bring you to eat something. Calm down and give Elvira a call. Don’t make her worry,” Cole instructed.

Honey nodded to show she understood. She called Elvira and said she suddenly wanted to eat dessert, so she took a taxi out to buy it. Because the road was too far and there was a traffic jam, she hadn’t returned yet. She didn’t want Elvira to worry about her.

Elvira was relieved to know that Honey was safe. She was already worried because of Zach’s illness. She didn’t think Honey would lie to her, so she told her to be careful and go back early.

After Honey put down the phone, she cried again. Cole, who had just returned from buying clothes, was speechless.

“Why are you crying again?” He really didn’t understand what she had to cry about.

“Elvira is really a good person… She’s so good to me. I’m so touched.”

Cole got out of the car and let her change her clothes. After changing her clothes, he brought her to eat what she wanted. After eating, Honey looked at a claw machine and insisted on dragging Cole to play with her.

Cole hadn’t had any feelings for Honey before. Now, feeling guilty towards her, he didn’t reject her. He felt that accompanying her to do something could be considered compensation.

After Honey grabbed a few dolls, she was a little discouraged because she couldn’t catch the doll she wanted most.

Cole couldn’t stand it anymore. He helped to grab it and threw it to her. “Let’s go.”

“I still want that doll.” Honey pointed at the big doll on the counter, her big eyes shining.

Cole thought she had indeed suffered an undeserved calamity today. It was only right for him to compensate her. Hence, he asked the owner how he could get that doll.

The owner said he had to pass a series of challenges to get the big one. Cole paid for the ticket, passed all the challenges, and won the big doll.

Honey was extremely excited. She asked the owner to put all the dolls she got into a big bag. She carried it on her back and followed Cole back.

Cole saw that she seemed to have forgotten about the kidnapping. He reminded her again in the car not to let it slip and make Elvira worry.

She immediately agreed. Her current state didn’t seem like she had just experienced a kidnapping. She was so happy. Cole felt helpless and thought that she was indeed still a kid.
