Chapter 307
Willow was not stupid. She understood from Hayden’s words that she and Sarah’s daughter had been switched. Therefore, Hayden must know Sarah’s biological daughter’s whereabouts. She wanted to find Sarah’s biological daughter because she couldn't allow that woman to become a threat.
Hayden stared at her speechless. “Why do you care? Just accept your identity. Even if Sarah’s biological daughter returns, she won’t be able to threaten you. Don’t do anything rash.”
Back then, Hayden had done this to take revenge on Sarah. She wanted Sarah to experience the pain of losing a child, believing Sarah had caused her to lose her baby and lover.
“Hayden, I’m just worried. Tell me where that girl is. I just want to see her,” Willow pleaded, her eyes red.
“You’re just causing trouble. You’ve been in the Glover family for so many years. As long as you don’t interfere, my brother and sister-in-law will always be your parents.” Hayden didn’t want to tell her the truth.
“Hayden, I want to know who my biological parents are! I also want to know if they’re doing well. It’s not entirely about that woman. You put me in the Glover family for your own selfish reasons. If my parents find out, do you think they’ll forgive you? You’d better tell me.” Willow had to know where that woman was.
Hayden frowned. She thought, “This wretched girl dares to threaten me. She really overestimates herself.” She smiled and said, “I didn’t tell you because it’s for your own good. You should know that girl.”
Willow remained wary. She thought, “The people I know are all from wealthy families, which means I originally came from a good family. So, I haven’t gained any advantage by being in the Glover family.”
“Who is it?” Willow was determined to know.
“Elvira Willis.” Hayden stared at her and calmly uttered the name. Since Willow seemed so eager to court disaster, she would oblige.
“Who?” Willow thought she’d misheard. She asked incredulously, her face full of disbelief.
“Zach Gilbert’s wife. Now that you know, you can leave.” Hayden felt disdain. Compared to Elvira, she considered Willow a mere clown.
After Hayden gave Elvira to the Willis family, she’d been following her situation. Hating Sarah and Donald, she was overjoyed that Elvira wasn’t thriving. During those years, she even found Sarah more appealing.
Since Sarah had made her unhappy, she would let her child suffer. She felt this was only fair.
However, she hadn’t expected that since Elvira married Zach, her life had been excellent. She’d overcome her hypocritical and cunning stepmother and stepsister and even excelled in her own business.
This disgusted Hayden. Because of this, she’d started to sow discord between the Glover family and Zach. She couldn’t bear to see Sarah doing well.
No matter who won, Hayden felt the Glover family would lose, as they were fighting their own daughter’s husband.
Hayden sneered. She couldn’t bear to see Sarah and Elvira thriving. When Willow left, she was stunned. She never expected her parents’ biological daughter to be Elvira.
She knew the Willis family’s current situation: her biological parents had divorced, the family was bankrupt, and her biological mother, having remarried, was despised by her new husband. In other words, she couldn’t rely on her biological parents for support. If she wanted to live comfortably, she had to cling to her adoptive parents. At this thought, Willow formulated a plan.
Sarah had wanted to confront Hayden to find out where her biological daughter was, but Richard stopped her.
“Mother, I don’t think Hayden will admit it. If you go, you’ll only alert her. The most important thing is to find the doctor who delivered your daughter then. Perhaps we can find out her whereabouts that way,” Richard reasoned with Sarah.
“Are we going to let her get away with this? I hate her so much right now!” Sarah intensely hated Hayden.
It was simply unreasonable that Hayden had switched her daughter.
“Since we already know the truth, with our family’s influence, we will definitely be able to find my sister’s whereabouts. Just wait patiently,” Richard reassured Sarah.
Sarah wasn’t someone who ignored the bigger picture. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have persuaded Hayden to leave her abusive boyfriend back then.
“Richard, I’m here to see you. Mom, you’re here too.” Willow walked in as if oblivious to her background.
Sarah wiped her tears and looked at her. “Willow, hello.”
“Are you here to see if I’m dead so you inherit all the Glover assets?” Richard disliked Willow from the start.
In the past, he’d overlooked her actions, thinking they were family. Now knowing the truth, he no longer wanted to be kind. The more he looked at Willow, the more he disliked her.
Willow’s expression shifted slightly. She looked at Sarah with an aggrieved expression. “Mom, look at what he’s saying. How could I think that way?”
“Richard, watch your mouth. How could Willow have that intention?” Sarah glared at Richard.
Richard snorted coldly. “If you hadn’t come to see me, I could have recovered faster!”
After saying that, he lay down and turned away, refusing to look at her. Remembering Willow’s past actions, he was even more annoyed. He wanted to find his biological sister as soon as possible so he could get rid of Willow.
“Mom, why does Richard hate me so much? Am I not his sister?” Willow looked at Sarah aggrievedly, tears falling.
Sarah’s heart ached for her; after all, she had raised her for many years. She said, “That’s not what he meant.”
“That’s exactly what I meant. I’d be sick if I liked someone who wants me dead! Willow, stop pretending and leave quickly,” Richard said.
Willow was stunned. She couldn’t believe Richard would speak to her like that. She thought, ‘Even though I really want him dead, I’ve never said it. How can he be so sure?’
“Alright, I’ll leave. Do you think I want to come and see you? I’m doing this for my parents. I don’t want to make things difficult for them.” Willow turned and ran out of the ward.
Sarah wanted to call out to her, but in the end, she could only slap Richard’s butt. “Can’t you be nice to her?”
