Chapter 83

Outside the New Star Square, news of a woman angrily smashing two luxury cars instantly spread across the internet. Judy ordered someone to incite netizens to accuse Elvira of being rude, domineering, and bullying. The incident quickly became a trending topic. Netizens unaware of the truth were manipulated into cursing Elvira.

Cole also saw the trending topic. He worriedly asked, “I’ll get someone to spend money to remove the trending topic.”

“No need. It’s done,” Elvira replied, having already posted the evidence she had found online.

Elvira felt Judy was truly stupid and malicious. She thought, ‘I taught her a lesson before, but she still hasn’t learned obedience. As expected, she’s arrogant because she’s pampered by the Willis family. She feels that no matter what, her family will support her.’

Judy posted the video of Elvira smashing her car online, prompting netizens to attack Elvira. Elvira then countered by posting the full context, allowing netizens to judge the situation fairly.

While netizens were scolding Elvira, a video of Amber belittling and insulting Tracy, Anna, and an elderly man on a tricycle was posted. Amber’s snobbish attitude made netizens deeply uncomfortable. After all, many ordinary people existed in the world, while true wealth was rare.

The news that Amber was a mistress was again unearthed by netizens. She was mercilessly condemned.

A second video surfaced, showing Judy deliberately smashing into Tracy and Anna. Though Judy later claimed it was accidental due to nervousness and mistakenly stepping on the accelerator, even if believed, the fault still rested with her. Furthermore, Zoey continued to insult Tracy and Anna; her contemptuous demeanor disgusted netizens.

The two videos restored the truth. Fewer people cursed Elvira; more cursed Amber, Judy, and Zoey. The three women did not dare to go out, hiding at home daily, hoping the incident would quickly fade from public memory.

Elvira received the school’s 100th-anniversary invitation. Putting down her phone, she fell into deep thought. It seemed Judy was about to make another move. She mused, “Indeed, people who are arrogant due to being spoiled never learn obedience!”

Cole looked at her and asked, “Judy seems to be doing something unfavorable to you again. Are you still going?”

“Yes, of course! Help me with something.” Elvira instructed Cole to help her find certain people and evidence.

Back then, Elvira, a young girl, was clearly bullied by others and harassed by teachers. Ultimately, she was forced to drop out of school—a painful and humiliating experience. Even now, former classmates use this to humiliate her. Back then, she wanted to prove her innocence, but the Willis family callously allowed her expulsion and even sent her to the countryside to fend for herself, believing suffering was necessary for her moral development.

This time, she intended to clear her name herself.

Elvira called Zach and asked if he could take some time to help her today. Zach immediately canceled all his work and picked up Elvira personally.

Chapter 83

In the apartment opposite Elvira’s company, a man in a suit scrolled through a video of Elvira smashing the cars. A playful smile crossed his face. He said, “This woman is quite interesting. I like her!”

Afterward, the man stood and went to the window. He took binoculars from his subordinate and looked across. Elvira was standing at the company entrance, waiting for Zach.

It wasn't until Zach picked up Elvira and they got into the car that the man lowered his binoculars, instructing, “Find a chance to cooperate with their company.”

“Okay!” The subordinate immediately complied.

In the car, Elvira looked around in confusion. Seeing this, Zach asked, “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know. Since yesterday, I felt like someone was watching me. Maybe it’s just my imagination because I’ve been too nervous recently.” Elvira checked her surroundings. No one was around.

Zach frowned and said calmly, “Don’t worry, bodyguards are protecting you discreetly. If someone truly follows you, they won’t escape.”

“I think so too. What did Spike say about the bodyguards?” Elvira asked.

“He agreed. I’ll pay for the bodyguards. Don’t worry, I can earn a lot!” Zach said a little sullenly.

“Alright then. If you don’t have enough money, you must tell me,” Elvira reminded him. She entered an address into the Navigate app and asked him to drive there.

Zach drove to the location and found it was a sales office. The building was developed by the Gilbert Group.

“What are you doing here?” Zach asked Elvira.

Elvira unbuckled her seatbelt, wrapping her arms around his neck. “I happen to have some money. I think it’s better to buy a house. We can live in it, and it’s an investment. I’ve asked around; this is a Gilbert Group property. The house price will never drop.”

Zach was speechless, thinking, Elvira is buying a house in a building I developed. What should I do?

“Let’s go. If we’re late, they’ll buy the good houses.” Elvira kissed the corner of Zach’s mouth and got out of the car first.

Zach got out of the car. He messaged Samson, asking him to arrange for Elvira to buy a house.

The two entered the sales office, where the salesperson warmly greeted them. It only took five minutes to choose a house. Elvira chose a duplex at the top of the building.

When the salesperson saw how quickly Elvira bought a house, she happily went to get the contract.

“Elvira, you’re here to buy a house too? Do you want to take a loan?” A familiar voice made Elvira instantly nauseous.

Sometimes, Elvira admired Judy. No matter how much they conflicted, once it was over, Judy could address her intimately as if nothing happened. Outsiders would think they were close friends.

Elvira ignored her and said to Zach, “Tracy can stay in this sun-sided room. She can bask in the sun more. The nanny room is next to it, so Anna can take care of her easily.”

Chapter 83

Zach glanced indifferently at Calvin and Judy as they entered. His eyes were filled with cold disgust. He thought, If not for the fact that I want Elvira to personally deal with these people, I would teach them a lesson badly.

“Hello, are you buying a house for Elvira?” Judy, having recovered from her facial injury, had come with Calvin to buy a new house.

Zach couldn't be bothered to look at Judy. He looked at Elvira gently and said, “It’s all up to you.”

Calvin’s face darkened seeing Judy ignored. He hated Zach’s superior demeanor, thinking, Zach is clearly a poor man putting on airs. He’s just showing off!

Judy didn't care about being ignored. She pulled Calvin to a chair and sat down, asking, “Have you chosen? This…
