Listen to this chapter:

"Don't worry, Mr. Reed. I've taken Gwenda upstairs," he said, revealing his secret.

August coughed into his fist. "Well then, Mr. Petit, do rest early."

"You too, Mr. Reed," Olivier replied, pocketing his hands and heading towards his car.

August glared at his retreating figure, gritting his teeth. "That sly bastard!"

Early the next morning, Gwenda awoke with a headache. She opened her eyes to a familiar environment, rolled over, and sat up in confusion. She remembered dinner with Olivier and August, and then… a drink. She couldn't recall anything after that. How had she gotten home?

She rubbed her temples. Her phone rang—it was August.

"Hello, cousin," she answered.

"You're awake?" His voice was cold.

Gwenda got out of bed. "Yeah, just woke up."

"How much do you remember about last night?" he asked immediately.

Gwenda was stunned. "What do you mean?"

"You don't remember?" August frowned.

"No. Did I do something dumb after I got drunk?" she asked, drawing a blank. She'd always been able to hold her liquor; she shouldn't have done anything outlandish.

"Not really. It's fine if you don't remember, but I have to warn you," August said.

"What?"

"Olivier Petit's a sly bastard. You can't outsmart him. Be careful. Do you understand?" He explained that, as her cousin, he felt responsible to warn her, even though he didn't want to interfere in her personal life.

Gwenda frowned. "Did he offend you? Or did you fail to make a deal last night?"

August huffed. "It has nothing to do with business. Just remember what I said!"

"Why should I listen to you if you won't explain?" Gwenda snorted.

August gritted his teeth. "Gwenda Evans, if you slept with him and Grandmother finds out, she'll kill you."

"You're the one who sleeps around, you psycho," Gwenda retorted angrily.

August snorted. "I don't want to waste my time talking to you." He hung up.

Gwenda stared at the dimming screen. "Fucking weirdo!" she cursed. Only August could act like that so early in the morning.

She tossed her phone down and went to the bathroom. Returning, August's words still echoed in her mind. Unable to let it go, she texted Olivier on WhatsApp: "What did you do to me last night?"

She received a quick reply: "What do you want me to do to you?"

Gwenda couldn't believe it. He sent another text: "Could it be that you dreamt of what I did to you last night?"

Gwenda blushed. That shameless asshole! She huffed and exited the app.

Meanwhile, Olivier was in a morning meeting, periodically glancing at his phone with a hint of a smile. His employees were discussing his unusual behavior in their group chat:

"Dude, Mr. Petit has definitely met someone!! I've never seen him smile in a meeting before!"

"I agree! I'm so curious!"

"Let's bet—male or female?"

"Guy!"

"Hell yeah! Me too. He hasn't had a woman around in ages."

"It's boring guessing. Mr. Roux, join us"

Otto looked at his phone, then at Olivier, before texting: "I'm guessing woman!"

The group chat fell silent.

The revised passage improves grammar, punctuation, and flow, making it more readable and professional. Profanity is retained as it reflects the characters' emotions, but is used more sparingly.
