Listen to this chapter:

Although Benson adored Gretchen, he cared more about his reputation. If word of their affair spread, the Evans family name would be irreparably ruined.

"Dad, I was wrong," Gretchen said, covering her cheek, afraid of Benson's continued anger. She repented obediently, "I won't do it again."

Gwenda smiled at this scene and sneered, "You've already slept with him. What else is there you wouldn't do?"

Benson was further enraged and raised his hand again. Pauline rushed forward, stopping him. "Benson, please calm down. Let's talk this through."

"What's there to talk about? She committed a scandal and disgraced the family!" Benson jabbed a finger at Gretchen, his face reddening with rage.

Pauline looked at Gretchen, who lay on the sofa, then continued to soothe her husband. "Benson, it's done. Beating her won't change anything."

"Then what do we do? What if people find out?"

Pauline frowned, hesitating. "For now, we can only"

"We can only have Gretchen marry Martin, right?" Gwenda cut in, exposing Pauline's plan. "You two have been plotting this, haven't you? Waiting to force me to suffer in silence?"

"Gwenda, that's not—" Pauline began, her face burning with shame and anger.

"What's wrong with this girl today? Why is she so clear-headed and against me?" Pauline thought furiously.

"Doesn't matter what you meant. I've told Martin I'm breaking off the engagement. But I won't let this go. Gretchen seduced my fiancé, and she'll carry that stain for life! Otherwise, she'll pay!"

Gwenda gave them a cold look and went upstairs. Minutes later, she returned with a suitcase.

Benson asked, surprised, "What are you doing?"

"This house doesn't welcome me. I'm moving to my mother's apartment. You can manage without me!"

She left. Benson yelled, "Stop! You fing b*! Stop!"

Gwenda ignored him, walking out of the Evans house and driving away.

"Rebel! She's rebelled!" Benson smashed a teacup in a rage. Pauline and Gretchen cowered on the sofa, too terrified to breathe.

After dropping Gwenda off, the driver returned to the hospital to report, including Gwenda's departure. Olivier's eyes widened. "She moved out after a family fight?"

"Yes, sir. Quite a commotion. Miss Evans left with her suitcase." The driver mentioned hearing something outside but couldn't recall the details. Olivier understood immediately. "Got it. You're dismissed."

Otto arrived, eager to gossip. "Miss Evans ran away, Boss. Poor thing, alone. What will she do?"

"When can I leave the hospital?" Olivier asked, ignoring him and examining his bandaged arm.

"Two or three days of observation."

Olivier smirked. "So, I can leave now?"

"Er"

"Go. Get me discharged."

Otto, speechless, expedited the discharge and drove Olivier to Gwenda's apartment. He thought, What the f*? He left the hospital early and parked outside her apartment? Is he stalking her?

Gwenda unpacked when her phone rang. She answered without looking.

"Hello?"

"It's me."

A deep voice. Gwenda gasped. "Mr. Petit?"

"I'm outside your apartment."

He hung up. Gwenda stared at the screen, then rushed to the balcony. Seeing his black car below, she gasped. Olivier? He's supposed to be in the hospital!

This cleaned-up version removes repetitive phrasing, improves sentence structure, corrects grammatical errors (like subject-verb agreement), and standardizes punctuation. The use of stronger verbs and more descriptive language enhances the narrative flow. I have also removed the excessive use of ellipses () as they were disrupting the narrative flow and replaced them with more appropriate punctuation. Finally, I have replaced the offensive language with more appropriate terms while keeping the overall impact of the insults.
