Listen to this chapter:

"No! My mom bought this for me. Why should I give it to you?"

"I'm giving you another chance. Will you give it to me or not?"

The other boy began to cry. "You're bullying me!"

Hearing the commotion, Gwenda rose out of curiosity and went to investigate. Two boys were fighting over a toy figurine near the swimming pool. The taller boy seemed aggressive toward the younger one, who was so frightened he burst into tears. "I'm going to tell my grandma you bullied me!"

"I am bullying you. So what?" The tall boy pushed the younger boy down. The younger boy cried harder. "You're so annoying! Give it to me!"

The tall boy reached for the toy, but the younger boy clung to it, shielding it with his body. They began to wrestle. Unable to get the toy, the tall boy gritted his teeth, pulled hard, and snatched it away.

The younger boy wailed, tugging at the taller boy's hand and shouting, "Give it back! Give it back!"

"Get lost!" The tall boy flung the younger boy's hand away. He lost his balance and fell into the swimming pool with a splash.

The tall boy was petrified as the younger boy struggled in the water. Seeing the boy losing strength, Gwenda, without hesitation, removed her shoes and dived in.

At that moment, the maid, alerted by the commotion, rushed in to report the incident. "Trouble! Young Mr. Kinney has fallen into the water! Madam, there's trouble"

Suzanne and Piper, who had been conversing, turned pale. Piper grabbed the maid. "What did you say?"

"Ma'am, your grandson fell into the water."

"Where?" Piper's face drained of color.

"In the garden swimming pool."

"Take me there now!!"

"Yes, ma'am!" The maid quickly led her there, followed closely by the Reed family. Other guests followed, eager to watch.

Gwenda had already pulled the boy from the pool and was soaking wet. Without pausing, she patted his pale cheek. "Wake up! Please wake up!" He was motionless and cold. She performed CPR, and soon he coughed up water and regained consciousness.

Gwenda breathed a sigh of relief. Before she could speak, she heard a shocked cry. "What are you doing?"

Before Gwenda could react, Piper shoved her down, grabbed the boy, and glared furiously. "You tried to hurt my grandson!"

"Madam, you've misunderstood" Gwenda attempted to explain.

But the taller boy burst into tears. His parent rushed from the crowd, hugging him. "What's wrong? What happened? Why are you crying?"

Gwenda recognized the woman as the one who had made snide remarks at Suzanne's feast.

"Mommy, that woman pushed the other boy into the pool! I was so scared!" The boy cried, pointing at Gwenda.

Everyone present stared at Gwenda in astonishment. Before she could speak, Piper grabbed her hand and screamed, "You psychotic woman! My grandson had no quarrel with you! Why did you hurt him?!"

"I didn't hurt him!" Gwenda tried to free herself from Piper's grip.

"How dare you! Everyone in Harmon City knows what kind of person you are! Don't pretend!" Piper's eyes were red with fury. "Bitch! How dare you treat my family like this? I'll kill you!" She raised her hand to strike Gwenda, who seized her wrist.

Gwenda, her wet face cold, said darkly, "Madam, I told you, I saved your grandson! Don't jump to conclusions!"
