Listen to this chapter:

"I can't be bothered to argue with you," Gwenda snorted, in a typically tsundere fashion.

Olivier's eyes gleamed with amusement. He lightly stroked her cheek, his grin widening. "Can I interpret that as meaning you can't bear to unleash your wrath on me?"

"You" Gwenda glared at him, then rolled her eyes and huffed. "Shameless bugger!"

Grinning, Olivier caressed her hair affectionately.

Meanwhile, in another car, Samuel complained to Tyrell about Olivier's "crime." "Bro, you don't even know how horrible Olivier is. He got into a relationship secretly, without telling us! If I hadn't insisted he show us who she was, he'd still be hiding it!"

In the passenger seat, Tyrell looked at his iPad, replying coolly, "Why does he need to report his relationship status to you?"

"We're his mates, we grew up together. Shouldn't he tell us?" Samuel's tone implied it was obvious.

Tyrell smiled dryly. "Then why didn't you tell me when you were in a relationship?"

Samuel was speechless. He coughed lightly. "I've had so many girlfriends. Reporting them all would have wasted your time."

"Well, that's reasonable," Tyrell nodded.

Samuel deadpanned, thinking, That's my brother alright!

"By the way," Tyrell said blandly, his gaze fixed on the iPad, "Mom asked me to ask what you think of Gwenda." His tone suggested he was discussing official business.

"Not bad. She's pretty, and different from my usual type. Totally my type!" A devilish grin spread across Samuel's face as he spoke of Gwenda.

Tyrell snorted coldly. "Mom likes her and wants her to be your wife. Treat this seriously, otherwise" He trailed off, but Samuel understood.

"Bro, you know me. I can't settle down with one woman at this stage."

"I won't pass that message on. Tell Mom yourself."

"No, no, no! That would piss her off. You tell her. Worst case, I'll take some time off at the company. What do you think?" Samuel offered a flattering smile.

Tyrell smirked, refusing to meet his gaze. "Deal with your own business!"

"Bro"

"Shut your mouth!" Tyrell glared.

Samuel felt wronged. Huffing, he grumbled, "Fine, I'll tell her myself. Tonight."

Tyrell ignored him.

Soon, the Kinney brothers arrived at the restaurant. The manager greeted them. "Messrs. Kinney, welcome to our humble establishment."

Samuel tossed him the car keys. "Has Olivier Petit arrived?"

"Yes, he's waiting in the private room," the manager replied respectfully.

"Cool. Let's go, bro." Samuel hurried towards the private room; Tyrell followed at a more leisurely pace.

At the private room door, Samuel stopped. "Bro, are you nervous?"

Tyrell raised an eyebrow. "Why would I be?"

"Olivier's been single forever, and now he has a girlfriend. Aren't you even a little curious, excited, or nervous?"

Tyrell snorted, suppressing an eye roll. "We'll meet her in a moment. What's to be nervous about?" He shoved Samuel aside and entered the room.

Samuel raised an eyebrow. "Then why the hell am I so nervous?"

"Idiot. Get in here."

"Yeah, yeah." Samuel followed.

Olivier and Gwenda were already seated. Gwenda, nervously checking her phone, sat up straight and smiled as the door opened.

Tyrell entered first, surprised to see Gwenda with Olivier. Before he could react, Samuel entered, his shock far more pronounced than Tyrell's; his eyes widened, his body stiff. He looked like he'd been struck by lightning. Gwenda was equally shocked. She hadn't expected the Kinney brothers to be Olivier's best friends.

What a coincidence, she thought.

Seeing their expressions, Olivier raised an eyebrow and asked in a low voice, "Do you know each other?"
