Dax watched with visible interest, his eyebrows slightly raised. He opened Olivier's chat on his phone. "I heard you want a cup from me. What do you want it for?" Olivier quickly replied, "I'll let you have that land in Eastern City."
He didn't directly answer Dax's question, but his response was significant: he clearly valued the cup highly. Otherwise, he wouldn't have offered such valuable land in exchange. After all, the Morel Group had sent numerous negotiators, all of whom were refused.
Dax found this even more intriguing. "I'll gladly give you the cup, since you asked. However, I'm curious about why you want it." Olivier replied, "It's for someone!"
Dax burst out laughing. His assistant, confused, asked, "Mr. Morel?"
"Interesting, very interesting," Dax murmured, putting down his phone and tapping the table. He smiled. "Since he wants it, I'll give it to him. Get it for me."
"Understood," his assistant replied, turning to leave.
Half an hour later, Dax personally handed the cup to Otto. "Take this. Mr. Petit wants it."
"Thank you, Mr. Morel." Otto accepted the cup.
"By the way, is Mr. Petit in a relationship?" Dax asked casually, though his eyes shone with interest behind his glasses.
Otto hesitated, then smiled slightly. "I don't know."
Dax, unfazed by the evasive answer, chuckled. "All right, you can go."
"Thank you, Mr. Morel," Otto said, departing.
Watching Otto leave, Dax adjusted his glasses, his smile deepening. "Really? He got a girlfriend after all these years?" His assistant muttered under her breath, "Why are you criticizing others when you've been single for years too?"
Meanwhile, at a hot pot restaurant, Olivier, having ensured Otto received the cup, turned to Gwenda. "It's done. Qfto will send it to me later."
Gwenda was astonished. "This soon?"
"Yes," Olivier replied with a faint smile. "Now you can relax and join me on the business trip."
Gwenda pursed her lips. "What time tomorrow?"
"10 o'clock. I'll pick you up."
"Okay."
"Eat more," Olivier said, serving her more food.
With her problem solved, Gwenda ate heartily. After the meal, her stomach was noticeably full. The restaurant staff even gave her a gift typically reserved for pregnant women, much to her embarrassed amusement. Olivier found the scene amusing.
That afternoon, Gwenda delivered the cup to Tia. "Here, is this the cup you wanted?"
Tia examined it, nodding. "Yes, but how did you get it so quickly?"
Gwenda replied, "Don't mind that. Now that you have it, please don't cause trouble for Alisha. I'm not as lenient as she is!" Gwenda then turned and left.
Tia watched her go, then looked at the cup. She recalled that Dax Morel of the Morel Group was the only other known buyer in the country. Could Gwenda be connected to Mr. Morel?
