Listen to this chapter:

The three women got into the car. Along the way, Gwenda kept them guessing. When they arrived at their destination, Laurinda, who was driving, peered through the window at the nearby hotel. She asked, puzzled, "Why did you bring me to a hotel? To catch someone cheating?"

"That's right!" Gwenda answered, no longer hiding anything.

"What? Who is it?" Laurinda's eyes widened with excitement.

Gwenda grinned and said, "Ian Russell."

"What?!" Laurinda's voice rose sharply. "Ian Russell is having an affair?"

Hattie was equally shocked. "You can't be serious, Gwenda. Didn't Ian just get married? How could he be having an affair?"

"Well, this guy is insatiable. Don't be fooled by his impeccable facade—he's an asshole."

In Gwenda's previous life, Ian had been disgraced for adultery. This hotel was where his wife, Linsey, had caught him in the act. However, Linsey hadn't exposed the scandal immediately, delaying it until after their divorce to better control the narrative. Therefore, without interference, a major public spectacle was anticipated. Since the timeline had shifted, it was best to act preemptively. There was no need to wait for a specific moment to deal with a scumbag.

"Where did you get this information?" Laurinda, the top paparazzi spy, asked incredulously.

"Never mind. Let's just consider this a favor, okay? Don't screw this up for me!" Gwenda said hopefully, patting Laurinda's shoulder.

"No problem. I, Laurinda, am the best at sniffing out scandals! I've never failed!"

"Good, you're reliable!"

Then, the three settled into a long wait. Laurinda was used to it, but Gwenda and Hattie found it unbearable. They waited from dawn till dusk. Just as Gwenda was beginning to doubt the timing, Ian finally appeared outside the hotel. He was accompanied by a young, inexperienced model.

Seeing them, Gwenda knew she'd made the right call. "They're here. Let's begin."

"No problem!"

As a seasoned entertainment journalist, Laurinda worked efficiently. She quickly disguised herself and followed the couple. Soon, Gwenda received a message: "Their room number is 1765. I'll be staking out; you guys come up."

"Let's go!"

Gwenda and Hattie hurried into the hotel. Preoccupied with getting the scoop, Gwenda didn't notice a group of people entering behind her. Leading them was Olivier, who was being escorted…

Reaching the 17th floor in the elevator, Gwenda and Hattie met Laurinda and hid in a stairwell.

"They've gone inside. Should we break in?" Laurinda asked.

Gwenda shook her head. "No, we'll wait for someone else."

"Who?"

"Ian's wife."

"Holy crap! You told her?"

"No, I'm just guessing."

"You can guess what's coming? You're a seer!" Laurinda gave a thumbs-up.

Gwenda raised an eyebrow proudly. "I know a lot. Just wait. She'll definitely come."

As she spoke, the elevator doors moved. Laurinda peeked out, her eyes widening. "Look, is that Ian's wife?"

The passage ends abruptly. I have removed the expletives, replaced informal contractions where appropriate for a cleaner style and improved sentence flow and word choice.
