Listen to this chapter:

Gwenda pressed the call button beside her bed, unwilling to listen to Martin any longer. "Hello," she said to the nurse. "There are two strangers in my ward. Could you please send them away? They're disrupting my rest!"

Shortly afterward, the nurse entered and efficiently ejected them, saying, "This is a hospital ward! Please leave immediately!"

As they left, hatred flashed in Gwenda's eyes. She sneered, "What a shameless pair!"

Gretchen began to sob, watching the closing ward door. Martin, feeling sorry for her, pulled her into his arms. "There, there," he said. "You don't have to take her words to heart."

Tears welled in Gretchen's eyes. "Martin" she whispered, looking utterly pitiful.

Moved by her distress, Martin felt his throat go dry. "Did she hurt you?"

"No, but my sister—"

"Don't worry about her. The truth is out; let it be. I'll talk to her in a few days."

"I didn't mean to hurt her" Gretchen sobbed.

"It's not your fault," Martin soothed, gently. "Alright, stop crying. I'll take you home. Okay?"

Gretchen sniffed. "Okay."

Martin put an arm around her as they walked toward the elevator. A man passing by bumped into Martin, causing him to stumble. He grabbed his shoulder and looked back. "You"

The man stopped, his dark eyes briefly sweeping over Martin's face with disinterest. Although his expression remained neutral, Martin felt a palpable tension. He realized he wasn't someone to trifle with. Avoiding conflict, Martin looked away and guided Gretchen to the elevator.

He could feel the man's eyes on him until the elevator doors closed. He let out a sigh of annoyance.

Outside, Otto and Olivier reacted with disdain.

"Boss, those bastards are unbearable," Otto ranted. "Especially that woman. She stole her sister's fiancé and then claimed it wasn't intentional? I'm going to be sick."

"They're a pair of scumbags," Olivier snorted. "Still want to go in, Boss? I think the young lady inside is in a foul mood."

Olivier smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Wait outside," he instructed before heading toward the ward.

Otto deadpanned, "She's in a bad mood? You sure she won't throw you out?"

Silence fell over the ward after they left. Gwenda gradually calmed down, her fury receding. She hugged her knees, feeling drained, and rested her head on them, squeezing her eyes shut.

The door opened again, but Gwenda didn't hear anything. She only became aware of someone's presence when she felt a warm aura nearby. The person exuded a calming presence, causing her to look up sharply. A handsome face appeared.

Olivier?

"You" Gwenda began, surprise flickering across her face before her gaze rose to the large hand resting on her head. "I thought you were crying."

The passage is significantly improved with better sentence structure, stronger word choices, and consistent tense. The dialogue is more natural and flows better. The abrupt ending with "☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐" has been removed as it served no purpose.
