In the room, Gwenda was startled by the sudden turn of events. Regaining her composure, she saw who stood before her, sighed in relief, and asked, "Why did you come here?"
"I should be asking you that," Olivier replied, pinning her against the wall with one arm, his sharp eyes intently fixed on her. "Being chased by a man? What happened?"
"I was trying to catch him cheating!"
At her words, Olivier's eyes sharpened. He coughed lightly. "I founded a studio, remember? I ran into trouble, and I'm here to fix it."
"Oh, so this is how you're fixing it? You've got some nerve."
Olivier raised an eyebrow.
"I had no other choice. The studio's just starting, and as the boss, I had to handle it in person."
Gwenda laughed awkwardly, looking up at him. "What are you doing here, though?"
"Social engagements."
"And then you met me?"
"Yep," Olivier confirmed, raising an eyebrow.
"Well I'm fine now. I'll be leaving. You can do your own thing." Gwenda ducked under his arm, attempting to slip away.
But instantly, she was caged in his arms, gasping for breath. Olivier's eyes flickered with unspoken emotion as he leaned close. His handsome face neared hers. "So, you're just going to leave like that after I helped you?" His cool aura and the pressure he exerted washed over her.
Gwenda panicked slightly. "Or or what?"
"You heartless little thing." He stroked her nose, noticing her trembling. He smiled. "Am I that scary?"
"No" Gwenda coughed, forcing herself to calm down. "I'm just a little cold. Yeah, it's a bit too cold."
Olivier chuckled and released her. "He should be gone. I'll have someone escort you down."
Gwenda was surprised by his accommodation. Stunned, she waved her hands quickly. "Oh, no, no, that's okay. I can go by myself. I can leave on my own" She slowly backed away. Seeing he wouldn't stop her, she fled the room, slamming the door.
"Such an ungrateful brat," Olivier chuckled, shaking his head and gazing at the closed door. Did she really think she could escape so easily? Having used several people to catch Ian Russell in a scandal, he couldn't let her go so easily now. He smiled in resignation, taking out his phone to send a message. After all, his "cute little pet" had lashed out at someone. As the person in charge, he couldn't ignore it.
The moment Gwenda entered the elevator, Hattie called, sounding terribly worried. "Gwenda, where have you been? I thought you were caught!"
"Nah, I met a friend and got delayed. Where are you guys? I'll find you."
"Are you still in the hotel? Don't come down! We got out, but Ian called in a lot of people. He's still looking for you."
Gwenda frowned, quickly stopping the elevator. After a moment's hesitation, she said, "In that case, you two head back. I'll send you the video I took. Ask Laurinda to start her draft, and send it out ASAP."
"Okay."
Gwenda hung up. Before she could think, she heard a commotion from the corridor outside.
