Gwenda's mind was blank. Frozen in place, she trembled slightly from the shock. The man's breath, hot against her neck, seared her skin.
"Gwenda"
He called her again. Her eyes fluttered, her ears burning as his attractive voice resonated in her eardrums.
"Gwenda"
He continued to call her name. It felt as if something had exploded in her head. Biting her lip, she murmured shakily, "Olivier, stop it. Please let go of me."
He only hugged her tighter, ignoring her. Her heart pounded, her blush deepening to crimson.
"What's wrong with you?" she asked. He had appeared unexpectedly, hugging her and calling her name. His behavior was so abnormal that she felt overwhelmed.
He remained silent, continuing to hold her tightly. After a while, he leaned close to her ear and whispered darkly, "Who is that man?" Gwenda quivered, unsure if his words or his actions were more unsettling. Finally, she managed, "What man?" At that moment, her phone rang.
Both jumped at the sound. Gwenda pushed Olivier away. "Let me get my phone," she said.
Dissatisfaction flickered in Olivier's eyes, but he released her. He straightened, frowning at her. Gwenda ignored him and answered the call.
"Hello."
"Did you fall into a hole or something? You've been in the washroom for ages!" August's impatient voice barked from the other end.
The surroundings had been quiet, allowing Olivier to hear every word. This man! Olivier's eyes narrowed, his frown deepening.
"I'm coming back now," Gwenda said awkwardly, hanging up.
"Who is he?" Olivier asked, his tone sinister.
Gwenda, not having heard him clearly, looked up. "What?"
He didn't answer. Instead, he grabbed her shoulders, pinning her against the wall. Bracing himself against the wall with one hand, he leaned down, his face close to hers.
"What the hell are you doing!" Gwenda tensed as his face loomed closer. Her eyes were wide with panic.
"Who is that man?"
"What man?" She still didn't understand.
He frowned and gripped her chin. His breath brushed her face, causing a strange tingling sensation. It was as if someone had tickled her heart with a feather.
"The man who just called you. Who. Is. He?" He spat out the words, his jealousy unnoticed even by himself.
Gwenda was stunned. "Are you jealous?" she asked, the question escaping subconsciously.
His eyes flashed with dark anger, his grip tightening. "So, who is it?" he demanded, moving closer until their breaths mingled.
Gwenda was confused. "He is"
Before she could answer, a sharp voice interrupted. "What the f*ck are you doing?"
Startled, Gwenda shoved Olivier away, her face burning. Olivier's face was livid as he glared at August.
"Gwenda! Come here!" August snapped, his expression equally furious.
Gwenda started to move, but Olivier grabbed her arm, pulling her behind him. He glared icily at August. "Who are you?"
"I think I should be the one asking you that."
