"Huh?" Blood? No, it appeared to be paint.
Gwenda examined the scene, trying to identify the culprit. The person turned, and Gwenda's eyes widened. Lina Wood? What was going on?
Gwenda frowned, sensing something was amiss. She pulled out her phone and quickly dialed Hattie.
Hattie answered, teasing, "Gwenda, did you catch the guy?"
"Check Lina Wood's schedule immediately!"
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"No time to explain. Quickly!"
Hattie, sensing urgency, immediately booted her computer. "Gwenda, Lina's returning from another city today. She should be at Central Airport now."
"It's really her" Gwenda's frown deepened. "What's going on?" Hattie asked worriedly.
"I saw Lina. She seems to have been splashed with red paint by a hater," Gwenda said gravely. "Watch the internet, especially for news related to Cecilia."
She suspected this wasn't a simple incident. Cecilia's fans had attacked Lina online yesterday; today, she was splashed with paint at the airport. The incidents were likely connected.
Understanding the gravity, Hattie agreed without question. "I'll do that right away."
After the call, Gwenda felt uneasy. A pair of warm hands gently clasped hers. Startled, she looked up into Olivier's deep eyes.
"Trouble?" he asked.
Gwenda nodded. "Yeah, pretty much."
"Need help?"
Gwenda shook her head. "No, I can handle it."
Olivier didn't push. "Alright. But let me know if you can't."
Gwenda's heart warmed. After a while, she nodded. "Okay."
Because of the incident, Gwenda dropped Olivier off at his company before driving back to the studio. As she entered, Hattie rushed over. "Gwenda, something's happened."
Gwenda had a hunch. In her office, she urged, "Tell me. What's the situation?"
"Lina was splashed with paint at the airport. But she's shameless! She told her manager to tweet that it wasn't a hater, but Cecilia's fans." Hattie said through gritted teeth. "She's in the hospital, and the person who threw the paint is arrested. The internet's buzzing with insults aimed at Cecilia—saying she didn't manage her fans well and isn't a qualified idol."
Gwenda dropped into her chair, rubbing her temples. "Not far off from what I thought. Lina's trying to go viral. The cover song was just the beginning. This is the critical stage."
"What should we do now?" Hattie asked anxiously.
Gwenda was considering solutions when someone knocked. Cecilia entered.
"Gwenda"
"You don't have to say anything. I know why you're here. Have a seat." Gwenda gestured to the chair.
Cecilia sat down, uneasy. "Gwenda, have you found any solutions?"
