Chapter 1156: Ye Mo’s Woman

“What sort of flying magic artifact do you want?” Lu Wuhu asked.

Ye Mo considered before replying, “One that is stealthy and fast.”

“Okay, come pick it up in half a month,” Lu Wuhu said, picking up some jade boxes.

“What?” Ye Mo asked, confused.

Lu Wuhu extracted a small, black rock from the jade box containing the Huang Star Rock and examined it excitedly. “World Rock! There really is World Rock… World Mountain… this is incredible…”

He suddenly looked up at Ye Mo. “You not only possess Bitter Bamboo, but also World Rock? How do you acquire so many extraordinary items?”

Ye Mo cursed inwardly. He’d found this piece in Yu Baisheng’s ruins. He hadn’t recognized the material at first, but upon arriving at World Mountain, he realized it was World Mountain Rock. He already possessed a large block of World Rock from the mountain, so he'd disregarded this small piece.

Now, however, Lu Wuhu’s discovery was problematic. Under Lu Wuhu’s intense gaze, Ye Mo could only explain, “I found this small rock and a Bitter Bamboo leaf at the bottom of a large lightning mountain within the Truth Fall Palace forbidden grounds. I didn't know it was World Rock. If you need it, take it; it’s useless to me.”

Lu Wuhu scrutinized Ye Mo dubiously for a long moment before concluding, “Your luck is preposterous.”

Fortunately, Lu Wuhu didn’t press further. He picked up the World Rock. “The mass of World Rock increases tenfold with each doubling of its volume. No one understands why, but it’s a supremely valuable material for forgery. You truly possess remarkable treasures.”

“Go back now,” Lu Wuhu said. “Don't worry, I'll add extra materials to your Dark Cloud Pike, given your contribution of the World Rock.” Lu Wuhu knew Ye Mo was being evasive, but he couldn't press the issue. He didn't suspect Ye Mo possessed more World Rock or Bitter Bamboo leaves; such items were exceedingly rare—even a small amount required incredible luck.

Ye Mo breathed a sigh of relief and quickly left the shop. He'd been genuinely afraid of Lu Wuhu's continued questioning. Lu Wuhu's discretion was commendable.

Though Ye Mo desperately wanted to inquire about World Rock’s uses, he feared Lu Wuhu would assume he possessed more.

After leaving the shop, Ye Mo immersed himself in forgery. He commissioned Lin Yiban, providing tens of millions of spirit stones to purchase materials in Pill City. With Ye Mo's wealth and status, acquiring materials in Pill City was effortless.

Within half a month, he could forge low-grade spirit artifacts. Though their appearance wasn't impressive, Ye Mo was delighted; his progress was astounding.

Lu Wuhu's forgery manual, while generously titled, was merely introductory, covering basic materials and flames. Ye Mo, however, already possessed extensive knowledge of materials from Thing. While the manual would be of limited use to others, it provided Ye Mo with sufficient foundational knowledge.

The Three Birth Chant’s primary purpose was to establish his own forgery system. Having a starting point was all he needed. Ye Mo realized that his relatively low cultivation level hindered his progress; a more powerful cultivator wouldn't require such a structured approach.

Ye Mo was confident that with diligent effort, he could create top-grade, or even extreme-grade, spirit artifacts within a year.

Aside from forgery, Ye Mo spent his days with Ning Qingxue, Luo Ying, and the others. His recent focus on cultivation had left little time for them, but now, he cherished their companionship.

Their small yard felt cramped with so many people. Ning Qingxue and Luo Ying were both at the peak of the Golden Core stage. Ye Mo didn't intend for them to achieve Nascent Soul stage in Pill City; they would do so upon returning home. He planned to adjust their cultivation methods after they reached the Nascent Soul stage.

One day, while chatting with Luo Ying and Qingxue, he received a message from Lu Wuhu: the flying magic artifact was complete.

Ye Mo was about to depart when Ning Qingxue suddenly asked, “Husband, do you have another wife named Xiaoyun?”

Ye Mo felt a surge of awkwardness. He knew Qingxue and Luo Ying were aware, but he’d been unsure how to broach the subject. Their earthly origins made even his marriage to Ning Qingxue and Luo Ying unusual, but adding Xiaoyun, alongside Song Yangzhu and Su Jingwen, compounded the complexities.

Luo Ying smiled, approaching Ye Mo and taking his hand. “If you love Xiaoyun, she must be a wonderful woman. Where is she now?”

Ye Mo's eyes reflected a hint of sadness. He often thought of Mu Xiaoyun, yet there was no news. He had at least received news of Yimo and Zifeng, but nothing about Xiaoyun. He even questioned whether she'd reached Luo Yue Continent or was still alive.

Ning Qingxue took his other hand. “Husband, we aren’t scolding you. We know Xiaoyun is a good woman. We’ve often heard Ziyi speak of her. Now that we’re together every day, it would be wonderful if everyone could be together.”

Ye Mo squeezed their hands. “I'm sorry I didn’t tell you sooner; I didn’t know how to begin. Xiaoyun is a good woman, and I miss her greatly. Don't worry; there will be no one else from now on.”

He had married Song Yangzhu for Yimo's sake. Meanwhile, he couldn’t bear to abandon Mu Xiaoyun; her fate would be dire otherwise. She was kind and understanding—a truly exceptional woman.

As for Su Jingwen, Ye Mo had been hesitant to consummate their relationship. Initially, it was because she hadn't reached Foundation Establishment; even after, he still hesitated. He didn't dislike her; he wished to be with Qingxue and Luo Ying before committing to her—a mark of respect and a promise to Su Jingwen.

Su Jingwen had followed him from Ning Hai to Luo Ying, then to the small world, and finally to South Peace State. If not for seeing her bracelet, she would have perished in a foreign world. No one knew this; her unwavering devotion deeply moved him.

The image of Su Jingwen, a silent figure in the snow, watching him from that snowy street, was etched in Ye Mo's memory. At that moment, he accepted her.

He imagined her loneliness after Yimo was taken. Her survival in the cultivation realm was fortunate.

“We understand, husband. Don’t worry. Go to Lu qian bei; he likely contacted you. After Xiaoyun, Jingwen, and Yangzhu come to Mo Yue City, we will never be separated.”

Song Yangzhu sensed Ye Mo’s sadness. Her use of “husband,” a term borrowed from Earth, was simple yet expressed profound affection. Luo Ying found herself increasingly fond of the term as well.
