“Are you leaving again?” Luo Susu’s voice trembled; the thought of Ye Mo's departure filled her with dread.

Ye Mo embraced Susu, speaking softly, “I don't wish to leave you either, but it's long past the time I promised Song Yangzhu I would return. I fear they're worried, so I intend to bring Ye Ling, Song Yangzhu, and Jingwen here. Then we can all reside in Mo Yue City and never be separated.”

He omitted the fact that, once sufficiently powerful, he would exact revenge upon the Infinity Sect.

Ning Qingxue and Luo Ying remained silent; they wished for Ye Mo to stay, but abandoning Song Yangzhu and the others in North Far State felt wrong.

Ye Mo sighed. “It's a shame I'm only a level eight formation grandmaster. If I ever reach level nine or higher, I'll establish a teleportation formation between Mo Yue City and North Far State.”

“And Yimo,” Ning Qingxue added sadly. “Please inquire after her when you go.” She thought of Yimo's parents; would the child miss them? Ye Mo hadn't mentioned it, but she understood.

Ye Mo harbored the greatest concern for Yimo.

Luo Ying blushed, as if on the verge of speaking.

Ye Mo showed them the flying sword. “It's Cheng Nana, Zifeng's wife. I didn't expect her and Zifeng to be in South Peace State. Zifeng abandoned her because he couldn’t cultivate; I only learned this after seeing her in Truth Fall City.”

“Zifeng is here too?” Ning Qingxue exclaimed, shocked.

Ye Mo nodded. Before he could speak, the sound of combat erupted. Ye Mo saw Cheng Nana under attack by two Golden Core cultivators in Eternity Sea uniforms. He deduced that Cheng Nana, having heard of his arrival in Mo Yue City, had attempted to reach him but was intercepted by the Eternity Sea. Her escape to the city's outskirts spoke to her abilities.

Seeing Ye Mo and the others approach, Cheng Nana's face lit up; she knew she was saved.

The two Eternity Sea cultivators recognized Ye Mo as Mo Yue City's lord. Their expressions soured. Ye Mo's tale of slaying a level seven Hollow Spirit Ming Wujian was widespread. Nascent Soul cultivators were no match for Ye Mo, let alone these Golden Core cultivators.

“Greetings, City Lord Ye,” the two bowed hastily.

Cheng Nana approached respectfully. “Big brother, Sister-in-law Luo Ying, and Qingxue…”

The women greeted her back, though their impression of her was vague.

Cheng Nana explained, “After learning of your return, I immediately came, but the sect knows I saw you in Truth Fall City. They suspect Wu Yu's death is connected to you and have been watching me. I seized an opportunity to escape, but they caught up.”

“Qian bei,” one Eternity Sea cultivator interjected, “this is unrelated to us. We were merely pursuing her, not attempting to kill her. Our duty is to return her to the sect.”

Ye Mo sneered. “You heard her; she calls me big brother. From this moment, she's no longer an Eternity Sea cultivator. For her sake, I won't kill you today. Return to your sect leader; if he still wishes to plot against me, let him.”

“Yes, yes, wan bei will leave!” the two cultivators fled, afraid to linger.

“I’m sorry, big brother,” Cheng Nana said, worried. “I’ve caused you trouble again.”

Ye Mo waved his hand. “Come with us to Mo Yue City. Don't worry about Zifeng; I'll search for him.”

Soon, Yue Qichao and Shen Guanqing arrived. Ye Mo bowed. “Is something urgent, Qian beis, that you sought me out?”

Shen Guanqing smiled. “Can we not visit even without an urgent matter? But we do have something. Mo Yue City is exceptionally secure with your formations and three Truth Realization cultivators. Martial Brother Yue and I will help you locate individuals and bring some old friends here; otherwise, it would be too solitary.”

Ye Mo rejoiced; he understood the Pill Kings were acting for Mo Yue City’s benefit. How could cultivators feel lonely?
