Chapter 219: Bizarre Revenge

Jing Xi's heart pounded as Ye Mo suddenly embraced her. Just as she was about to unleash her anger, she caught his masculine scent, and her body softened. Yesterday, when Ye Mo carried her for two hours, she'd felt only killing intent; now, a strange arousal stirred within her.

Ye Mo sensed the shift in Jing Xi—the warmth, the yielding. Without further thought, he quickly imprinted a spirit sense mark on her clothing. It was swift and efficient. Relieved, he released her, only to find Jing Xi's arms wrapped around his waist, her eyes unreadable.

Was she aroused? Ye Mo was startled. Before he could speak, Jing Xi, eyes misty and breath heavy, whispered, "Brother Qie, carry me to the room."

She was indeed aroused, mistaking him for her "Brother Qie." Ye Mo had no desire to sleep with her. Losing his virginity to this ruthless nun? He'd rather remain celibate.

Though the nun was undeniably alluring, and he felt a flicker of arousal himself, Ye Mo, a Foundation Establishment cultivator, had experienced attraction before. He'd even resisted Ning Qingxue; a disliked nun posed no real challenge. He was a man of principle; he could control his urges if he lacked genuine interest.

However, he wouldn't waste the opportunity. He reached into Jing Xi's hair, adding another mark to her hair tie, then gently shook her. "Sister Zier, are you alright?"

Jing Xi had envisioned her dream man embracing her, whispering sweet nothings. But the arousal was shattered by Ye Mo's actions.

Snapping back to reality, she stared at Ye Mo, then froze. Releasing him, she touched her hair, her eyes hardening with hatred.

After a long, silent glare, she said, "Da Hu, just now… oh, never mind. I'm going to rest. Wait for me to return. Don't worry about my master; I won't mistreat you."

Leaving the mansion, Jing Xi felt a strange disorientation. She hadn't flown into a rage, hadn't killed Da Hu. With her current strength, killing an ordinary person would've been effortless. She shook her head; aside from the man who betrayed her, this was the first time she'd shown mercy.

Yu Lian claimed she'd killed that man, but only Jing Xi knew the truth. She had indeed flirted with other men in front of him, but she'd killed them afterward.

Ye Mo followed cautiously, maintaining a safe distance. The marks ensured he wouldn't lose her, even without close pursuit.

Jing Xi produced a phone and made a call—a phone Ye Mo hadn't noticed when he carried her the previous night, meaning she'd retrieved it last night.

From his distance, Ye Mo could barely make out the words: "…throw…cliff…"

The meaning was clear. This vicious woman was ordering his murder. He couldn't continue following; he needed to wait for her assassins.

Returning to the mansion, Ye Mo waited only an hour before a car arrived. A man in his thirties emerged—unimpressive in physique, but clearly a Yellow Level elementary stage cultivator.

"Are you Da Hu?" the man asked.

Ye Mo nodded. "And you are?"

The man chuckled. "Tian Po. Zier Shi Mei instructed me to bring you to the mountain. Her master has agreed, but needs to assess your cultivation potential. If you're unsuitable, she can't proceed."

Ye Mo nodded, understanding this was an assassination attempt. He didn't bother questioning Tian Po; there was nothing to gain.

Tian Po spoke little, choosing a treacherous, almost roadless path.

After nearly two hours, they reached a cliff. "Brother, you have impressive stamina," Tian Po remarked.

Ye Mo caught his breath, smiling. "I'm alright. I used to climb mountains frequently." He used his spirit sense to scan the cliff—several hundred meters high, sheer as a knife's edge. He located a small protrusion around fifty meters, but no suitable landing spots beyond one hundred meters. He couldn't scan further.

"Hm, something's here?" Tian Po murmured, approaching the cliff's edge.

Ye Mo followed, feigning curiosity. "What is it? Let me see." He subtly positioned himself with his back to Tian Po, anticipating the attack.

As Ye Mo reached the precipice, Tian Po shoved him. Ye Mo screamed, falling like a shooting star.

Calculating his trajectory, Ye Mo used his feet to brace himself against the fifty-meter protrusion. He spotted a ditch seventy meters below and used the Wind Controlling Technique to reach it. Quickly drawing his sword, he carved a hiding place in the stone.

As soon as he was concealed, Tian Po called from above. "Brother, don't blame me. I'm following orders. Too bad you liked the wrong person."

He then called someone: "It's done…yes…Liang Nong Cliff."

Ye Mo rejoiced. The nun was coming. This was fortunate; locating Jing Xi after Tian Po's departure would've been difficult without his spirit sense marks, given the complex terrain of Wuliang Mountain, and his inability to fly.

He waited only an hour before hearing Jing Xi's voice. Unfortunately, he was too far below to reach her with his spirit sense.

"Excellent work. Here's a basic cultivation method…" Jing Xi's voice was followed by Tian Po's grateful acknowledgement.

Shortly after, Tian Po exclaimed, "Jing Xi, you…killed…me…" The sound ceased abruptly, followed by a thud from the bottom of the cliff.

Ye Mo was impressed by her strength but baffled by her indirect methods. Why the elaborate scheme?

He listened for her footsteps, ready to follow once she left. But after a long wait, silence persisted. Did she leave? he wondered.

Then, Jing Xi's voice echoed once more. "Da Hu, though you saved me, you looked at my body. I vowed that any man who did so would die, yet…I felt something for you. Did you know? I truly wanted to give myself to you that morning, but you woke me. You're so dense. Tian Po killed you, and I've avenged you. Rest in peace."

Rage almost made Ye Mo spit blood. This woman was shameless! She'd orchestrated his murder then delivered such a sanctimonious speech. What kind of revenge was this?

"You say I'm beautiful. Am I? But my heart belongs to another. Sorry, Da Hu. Perhaps I'll visit when I'm free…" Her voice trailed off into silence.

Ye Mo sighed. This woman was insane, utterly deranged. His only concern now was Luo Susu. Could she possibly thrive living with such a woman? It would be best if this madwoman had no connection to Luo Susu at all.

After a prolonged silence, Jing Xi erupted into hysterical laughter. "Shi Jie, did you think you could evade me after sending your daughter away, then taking her back as your disciple? You never imagined she'd soon become like you, hahahaha…"

"Your daughter is just like you—no good. She went out once, and now she's obsessed with men, unable to control herself. Sometimes I wish I could see the man she loves… Shi Jie, do you know what I crave most? To watch your daughter see me in bed with her man! Too bad you're dead. If you weren't, wouldn't you be shocked to see the man your daughter loves with me? Though I remained a virgin for that bastard for years, I don't mind giving my first time to your daughter's lover, hahahaha…"

Ye Mo shook his head. This nun was irrational, consumed by her lost love, and now tormenting the offspring of her Shi Jie. She'd never experienced city life; if she had, she'd likely have killed herself countless times over this lost love.

He felt a twinge of pity. She was a woman driven mad by love, but she'd chosen the wrong man.

Finally, Jing Xi departed. Ye Mo immediately used the Wind Controlling Technique and multiple taps on the cliff face to rapidly ascend.

What he saw at the top left him speechless.
