Chapter 334: The Vicious Earth Fiend Translator: Tim Editor: Fish Creek

โ€œWait, Ye Mo, I see everyone going in needs a membership card. We donโ€™t have one. How do we get in?โ€ Su Jingwen, ever meticulous, noticed that everyone in this Wei Xian establishment possessed a membership card as she followed Ye Mo to the door.

Ye Mo turned back, smiling. โ€œItโ€™s fine. I have one.โ€ He produced a card identical to those heโ€™d seen.

Su Jingwenโ€™s face changed, as if a thought occurred to her, but she said nothing, simply nodding.

Indeed, when Ye Mo presented the card, the attendant didnโ€™t stop them, instead bowing and ushering them inside.

โ€œRoom 207,โ€ Ye Mo said, his spirit sense having located his target in room 205, where two women appeared to have been brought. 207 and 205 were adjacent.

Entering their room, Ye Mo dismissed the waitress and hung a โ€œDo Not Disturbโ€ sign.

As Ye Mo closed the door, Su Jingwenโ€™s heart quickened. She knew what typically transpired in such places; sheโ€™d even heard moaning from a nearby room. Hadnโ€™t Ye Mo said he was following someone? Why had he brought her here?

The room's intimate atmosphere made Su Jingwen uneasy, even in Ye Moโ€™s company.

Ye Moโ€™s spirit sense immediately scanned the situation, but detected no sound. He was about to focus his hearing on the adjacent room when he saw Su Jingwenโ€™s anxious expression. He immediately understood her apprehension.

If he entered the room alone and closed the door, suspicion would arise. If he encountered an unknown person, their knowledge of his actions must be prevented. He apologized to Su Jingwen: โ€œSorry, Jingwen, for inconveniencing you, but the person Iโ€™m following is very important. I need to know what theyโ€™re doing in Ning Hai.โ€

Su Jingwenโ€™s face relaxed. She fixed her hair, smiling. โ€œItโ€™s fine. I have nothing else on, anywayโ€ฆโ€ Hesitating, she finally asked, โ€œYe Mo, did you frequently come here before?โ€

Ye Mo, startled, replied, โ€œNo, this is my first time. Whatโ€™s wrong?โ€

Su Jingwenโ€™s eyes brightened. โ€œBut how do you have this VIP card? I never saw you apply for it?โ€

Ye Mo understood Su Jingwenโ€™s implication. She disliked such establishments and assumed he was a regular. He smiled. โ€œWhen we came in, two people were leaving. I borrowed the card from the person who passed me.โ€

So that was it. Su Jingwen breathed a sigh of relief, then felt a shock. Ye Mo hadnโ€™t hesitated, yet heโ€™d obtained a VIP cardโ€”unbelievable. Theyโ€™d merely brushed past each other. How brief the interval!

Considering Ye Moโ€™s master-level abilities, however, she understood. That slight unease vanished. Yet, she immediately wondered why she'd feel unhappy if Ye Mo had frequented the place.

Su Jingwen looked up to see Ye Mo at the corner, a small dagger in his hand, cutting into the wall as if it were tofu. In moments, the conversation from next door filtered through.

It was far from normalโ€”lewd talk between a man and a woman; heavy breathing and moans. Su Jingwen blushed crimson, her neck pink. She looked at Ye Mo, whose concentration remained unbroken. Her heart trembled. Did Ye Mo enjoy such sounds?

Seeing his serious face, however, she knew this wasn't the case. Something else was afoot.

Ye Mo was indeed observing the two men whoโ€™d just entered. One bore the spirit sense mark of Gu, but Ye Mo couldnโ€™t understand why theyโ€™d sought women immediately, engaging without conversation in their business. If not for the mark, he would have thought heโ€™d followed the wrong person.

After a few minutes, the encounter ended, and the two women were dismissed, putting on their clothes and drinking beer.

Ye Mo caught a faint scent and remembered Su Jingwenโ€™s presence. Considering the noise, he felt apologetic. He should have activated his enhanced hearing later.

โ€œSorry, Jingwen, I didnโ€™t expect that,โ€ Ye Mo said awkwardly.

Su Jingwen, blazing red, glared at Ye Mo without uttering โ€œItโ€™s fine,โ€ clearly angry.

Seeing Ye Moโ€™s distress, Su Jingwen softened her glare. โ€œOnly this time. Next time I wonโ€™t forgive you.โ€

Ye Mo felt some relief. He wouldnโ€™t be with her next time; this was a coincidence.

โ€œI know you werenโ€™t listening to that. What were you listening to?โ€ Su Jingwen appeared beside him, reminding him of her soft backside in the car. Coupled with the scene he'd just witnessed, his heart stirred.

Sensing Ye Moโ€™s gaze and the heat radiating from him, Su Jingwen rolled her eyes. โ€œYouโ€™re not allowed to think dirty. And if you do, think about Qingxue, not me.โ€

Mentioning Qingxue chilled Ye Mo. The heat vanished, replaced by sadness in his eyes.

Su Jingwen immediately regretted her words. Why mention Ning Qingxue? Ye Moโ€™s change of expression didnโ€™t escape her notice; heโ€™d become cold and indifferent, his romantic gaze gone.

โ€œSorry, I didnโ€™t mean it,โ€ Su Jingwen regretted, moving closer to Ye Mo.

Ye Mo smiled. โ€œItโ€™s fine. I lost my train of thought. Thanks for reminding me.โ€

Though Ye Mo had regained his composure, as Su Jingwen drew near, she felt the yang and refreshing chi from his body, becoming momentarily lost, much like Ye Mo had been. She forgot she was moving closer.

Ye Mo looked at Su Jingwen, sensing her regret, but he no longer minded.

The two men next door; one was one-eyed. Though both eyes appeared normal, under spirit sense, one was dull.

The other was a robust youth, over 1.9 meters tall, and he bore the Gu mark.

โ€œHan Zai, feeling better now?โ€ the one-eyed man asked plainly.

Han Zai nodded. โ€œYes, Ninth Uncle. Much easier. The worry and fear are gone.โ€

The one-eyed man smiled. โ€œMy first kill was worse than yours. Back then, an Earth Red Qian Bei took me to relax with a woman. After each kill, I needed that release. This is your first. Youโ€™ll get used to it. You just joined the organization and were assigned Human Yellow. The higher-ups think highly of you.โ€

Han Zai agreed. โ€œNinth Uncle, was the Qian Bei who took you a Heaven level killer?โ€

The one-eyed man shook his head. โ€œAfter reaching Earth Purple, he vanished. I heard his last mission was in Africa, and nothing since.โ€

โ€œIs that Qian Bei in hiding? After reaching Heaven level, we choose our own lives?โ€ Han Zai said longingly.

The one-eyed man waved a hand. โ€œWeโ€™ll discuss that later. Let's talk about our next target. Only we two came to Ning Hai. If we succeed, we may rank up; you might even jump two levels.โ€

Han Zai nodded, listening to the one-eyed man's instructions.

The one-eyed man produced a map. โ€œWe checked Ye Moโ€™s house; itโ€™s empty. But many in Ning Hai know him. One is a teacher, Yun Bing, at Ning Hai University. Sheโ€™s close to Ye Mo, and has a childโ€”tonightโ€™s target. Another woman, Su Jingwen, is also close to Ye Mo; sheโ€™s the other target.โ€

Han Zai nodded. โ€œNow I understand the terror of offending the Earth Fiend. I donโ€™t know who Ye Mo is, but he dares to act against us.โ€ He shook his head.

The one-eyed man said seriously, โ€œHan Zai, donโ€™t worry. Our mission is to kill. Whoever our superiors tell us to kill, we kill. Donโ€™t mention anything else, understood?โ€
