Chapter 337: Seek Vengeance

Translator: Tim Editor: Fish Creek

Ye Mo withdrew his spirit sense. He didn't consider Xie Weizheng a threat. He was waiting for One-Eyed and Han Zai. If they failed, they wouldn't be kept alive.

One-Eyed returned to Ye Mo's room with Han Zai an hour later. He looked at Ye Mo with awe and veneration. Ye Mo knew his fireball charm had shocked him.

“Ye qianbei, the mission is done.”

Ye Mo nodded. “Not bad. Draw a map of your HQ for me.”

“Yes.” One-Eyed sat down, took out pen and paper, and quickly drew a rough map.

Ye Mo examined the map. It differed from the one Chen Qing had given him. It seemed the Earth Fiend HQ wasn't where either map indicated; those were merely gathering spots.

Seeing Ye Mo frown, One-Eyed said, “Ye qianbei, our killers report daily. If someone doesn't report by night, something's happened. If we leave for Hong Kong now, that person will be gone by the time you arrive.”

Ye Mo smiled calmly. “I'm sure he won't be gone when I arrive. Don't worry. I have another mission. Do it well, and you won't need to call me qianbei; you can work for my company. Fail, and I won't say anything else.”

“Yes, qianbei, Yang Jiu and Han Zai will succeed,” One-Eyed said, rejoicing. He understood Ye Mo's concern. This meant that if they succeeded, they would become Ye Mo's men.

Ye Mo's power alone made working for him appealing; he wouldn't need to worry about the Gu bug.

“Okay,” Ye Mo said, clapping. “In room 206 is Xie Weizheng. He attacked my friend, so I beat him up. I'm busy tonight. You two handle him. If his people overreact, kill them. I'll take responsibility.”

Yang Jiu exclaimed, “Qianbei, don't worry. I can kill such a clown in a heartbeat.” He feared Ye Mo underestimated their abilities. He needed to show Ye Mo, aside from him, everyone was easy prey for an Earth Rank killer.

“Okay, I'll check back tomorrow. My friend is Su Jingwen—originally your target. I'm going.” Ye Mo vanished.

Yang Jiu wiped sweat from his brow and gasped. Ye Mo exerted immense pressure. That last sentence almost made him kneel.

“Ninth Uncle, Ye qianbei is too strong! I've never seen anyone so strong, and that fireball charm… it's just…” Han Zai stuttered.

Yang Jiu fell silent before saying seriously, “Han Zai, I've been many places, faced countless dangers, seen tough people, even ancient martial artists. I've killed a Yellow Level martial artist, but never anyone as strong as Ye Mo.”

“Ninth Uncle…” Han Zai hesitated.

Yang Jiu continued, “Han Zai, this is an opportunity. Ye qianbei is the strongest I've seen. If he defeats the Gu King, we sell our lives to him. We'll only grow stronger following the strongest.” He still felt fear recalling Ye Mo's fireball charm. It was unbelievable.

Yang Jiu waved a hand. “Whether this is fortune or hell depends on this mission. We must protect Su Jingwen. She's more than just a friend; perhaps she's Ye qianbei's woman. We can't fail.”

“Yes, Ninth Uncle.” Han Zai knew this mission's importance.

Yang Jiu nodded. “Succeed, and we follow Ye Mo qianbei. Fail, and death awaits. We can't fail.”

“Ninth Uncle, we should kill Xie now,” Han Zai said, making a slicing motion.

Yang Jiu sneered. “Kill him openly? We'd be hunted by the police. How could we protect Su Jingwen then? Our priority is Su Jingwen, not Xie Weizheng. Even if we kill him, no one must know.”

Ye Mo found Su Jingwen dazed in a coffee shop. Unsure of her feelings for Xie Weizheng, he didn't interrupt.

Su Jingwen was always a friend, a close friend. He didn't overthink her words at the doorway; he saw them as anger. He sensed she had no feelings for Xie Weizheng. She was stubborn and strong-willed, unlike the subjective Xie. It was unlikely she liked him.

Ye Mo opened Su Jingwen's car door, placed several fireball charms on her seat, and left quietly. He couldn't trust Yang Jiu completely. He provided self-defense.

He couldn't forgive himself if she was hurt because of him.

Su Jingwen sighed, leaving the coffee shop. She regretted her words. She feared Ye Mo would look down on her, or misunderstand because of her cousin. She couldn't explain.

Her cousin's attitude hurt, but it wasn't the main issue now. She couldn't believe the person she met was the gentlemanly cousin she knew.

Opening her car door, Su Jingwen felt lost. She wanted to find Ye Mo but lacked the courage.

Seeing five fireball charms, she felt warmth. Ye Mo had seen her absentmindedness but still cared, leaving charms for protection.

Though she doubted her cousin would overreact, Su Jingwen held the charms tightly, grateful to Ye Mo.

Ye Mo flew to Hong Kong on his flying sword like a comet.

Earth Fiend was too nefarious; their easy deaths didn't lessen his discomfort.

The distance tired Ye Mo. His cultivation was still low. He landed to rest before releasing the Gu bug and tracking the Gu King.
