Chapter 375: You Dare Play With Flying Daggers?

Translator: Tim Editor: GlobeGlotter

Seeing Ye Mo remove a seed-sized object from his clothes, Zhu Hongsheng immediately realized the young man had offended the Grey Alliance and was carrying a tracker.

Zhu Hongsheng’s expression soured. If Johnson weren’t present, he would have attacked Ye Mo already. This was the man who exposed his hideout. He no longer desired to recruit Ye Mo; although capable in combat, his intellect was lacking.

Ye Mo’s face wasn’t pleasant either. The object was small but very sticky. While choking the big bearded man, he hadn’t realized he’d been calmly fitted with a tracker. Ye Mo ripped it off, reducing it to nothing.

A tall white man entered the spacious underground room. Despite sixty or so people present, it didn’t feel cramped.

Upon seeing Ye Mo, Johnson knew it was him, even without the tracker. He hadn’t expected so many people. Nonetheless, his shocked expression quickly subsided.

“Jordon and those five Grey Alliance members? Lucian? You killed them all? You also took our things?” Johnson spoke surprisingly fluent Chinese, far surpassing the driver. His anger was evident.

Ye Mo smiled. “Yes, I killed them. I also burned your crate of cocaine and found a case full of cash.”

Shi Kaigen hadn’t imagined Ye Mo had offended the Grey Alliance.

He’d never heard of anyone offending the Grey Alliance and surviving. Perhaps that was true before, but now?

Just as everyone expected Johnson to rampage, he turned to Zhu Hongsheng. “Mr. Zhu, he has a death feud with the Grey Alliance. What is his relationship to you?”

Zhu Hongsheng wanted to deny any connection. They were about to fight the Mountain Gang; he didn’t want to offend the Grey Alliance at this critical juncture.

However, the average-looking woman stopped him. Speaking for the first time, she said, “This Mr. Ye is a friend of our gang. Attacking him on our territory is an insult. Settle your feud elsewhere.”

Zhu Hongsheng and Ye Mo were both shocked. Ye Mo expected Zhu Hongsheng to disown him—confirmed by his expression—but this woman contradicted him. Did she know something?

This woman wasn’t simple. Regardless of her knowledge, Ye Mo considered her far more calculating than Zhu Hongsheng. Her words were shrewd; the only effect was a more favorable impression of them. After all, she didn’t promise protection.

“Hmph, I’ll agree to not kill him here, but we must take him away.” Johnson produced a flying dagger. Only Ye Mo saw where it came from.

“No, you can’t take him by force. He must leave freely. What you do afterward is your concern,” the woman insisted.

Johnson sneered. “Do you think we fear your Hong Martial Gang? You’re just a woman. Are you the gang leader? Gang leader Hong, state your position.”

Zhu Hongsheng was troubled. He inwardly disagreed, but didn’t know how to respond.

The woman continued, “I’m not the gang leader. If I were, I’d declare Mr. Ye under our gang’s protection.”

Zhu Hongsheng was shocked. He looked at the calm Ye Mo. Since discovering the tracker, he’d blacklisted Ye Mo. He didn’t understand why Huang Zheng, usually cunning, would make such a mistake with someone so young.

For the first time, Zhu Hongsheng rebuked Huang Zheng. “This person has nothing to do with our gang, Johnson. Do as you wish.”

It felt like surrender, but he was going to kill Ye Mo anyway, so he let Johnson handle it.

Huang Zheng stood, staring deeply at Zhu Hongsheng. “I’m tired. I’ll rest.”

Zhu Hongsheng thought Huang Zheng disliked blood or was unhappy about his rejection. He waved. “Go rest, and think before you speak next time.”

After Huang Zheng left, Johnson tossed the dagger, speaking fluent Chinese, “A Chinese man taught me. It’s drunk the blood of countless Chinese. Today, there’ll be one more.”

“Where’s your teacher?” Ye Mo asked calmly.

“Him? Hahaha, he was the first to die by this dagger. Where do you think he is? Perhaps you’ll meet him before God.” Johnson made the dagger vanish.

Ye Mo caught the dagger, speaking coldly, “If you hadn’t killed him, I would have. You saved me trouble. But with your petty skills, you dare play with flying daggers before me?”

Even if Johnson hadn’t killed his master, Ye Mo wouldn’t have bothered, but such a blind disciple deserved to die.

“You…” Johnson was dumbfounded. He saw Ye Mo catch the dagger with two fingers. Someone caught his flying dagger barehanded?

His dagger was faster than a bullet; it could even deflect bullets. Yet, someone caught it barehanded. It was incomprehensible.

Everyone was shocked. If someone could catch it, were they bulletproof?

Zhu Hongsheng’s heart pounded. He’d made a mistake.

“You dare play with flying daggers, huh? I’ll teach you. I’ll pin you. Protect your left foot.” The dagger arced, pinning Johnson’s left foot to the ground.

Arghhhhh! Johnson howled, unable to move. He was pinned by his own dagger. He saw Ye Mo throw it, yet couldn't move.

Silence.

The hall was silent.

The Three Breath Flying Sword was pinned by its own dagger. Terror was etched on his face.

Zhu Hongsheng’s hands trembled. If Ye Mo aimed for his throat, he couldn’t dodge.

Moments later, Johnson’s men reacted, drawing guns and swords.

Ye Mo sneered, a long sword appearing. After a clash, Ye Mo walked among them and out again. Before they reacted, he stood where he was, sword vanished, as if he hadn’t moved.

Then, Johnson’s men began falling, spewing blood. Everyone from the Grey Alliance except Johnson was dead.
