Chapter 516: Send Away Immediately

Liang Shiguo threw the letter on the ground; Chen Zhui picked it up. The letter was remarkably polite.
“Mr. Liang, since discovering the crystal belonged to your organization, I haven’t slept a wink. Even without a reward, I would have returned it. Taking your money was embarrassing enough; I couldn't possibly accept such a valuable card as well. You make me blush.
Although I know you genuinely wanted me to have it, I decided I couldn't accept it. I left the card outside your door; please retrieve it. I'm an honest man and won't take what isn't mine. You know I'm not one to leech off small benefits, right? Accepting your card would be against my nature. I anticipated you might still want to give it to me, so I left this letter. Please don't be so kind, Mr. Liang.”
Chen Zhui looked at Liang Shiguo, confused. “Director Liang, you’re saying Ye Mo is shameless because he knew the card was a bomb and left it?”
Liang Shiguo calmed down, frowning. “Take me to the hospital first.”
In the car, Liang Shiguo continued, “He’s not a god. He probably didn’t know anything was wrong with the card. I call him shameless because he took the 10 billion without a word, yet now claims taking the card would ruin his reputation—even saying he planned to return the crystal for free! Do you believe that garbage? Look how quickly he transferred the money. He’s utterly shameless.”
Liang Shiguo cursed.
Chen Zhui frowned. “Director Liang, this is strange. If Ye Mo didn’t know the card was a bomb, why give it to the waiter with the letter? I think Ye Mo is shameless; why wouldn’t he take a card worth millions?”
Liang Shiguo calmed down. In his anger, he’d overlooked the obvious. ‘Yes, why did Ye Mo do that?’ But if Ye Mo knew it was a bomb, why not keep it closer?
Liang Shiguo felt he couldn't understand Ye Mo anymore.
Was this an accident? He didn't believe it.
“Mr. Chen and Peter, forget the hospital. We’re going to the airport. The crystal is too dangerous to keep. My injuries are minor; a little treatment will suffice.” Liang Shiguo ordered the driver to the airport.
Ye Mo followed, but not to track the three. He followed the crystal, marked with his spiritual sense. He might trade it; he wasn't giving it to Northern Sand.
Following them was relaxing. They boarded a plane to Hong Kong half an hour later—a testament to their organization's efficiency.
The plane departed quickly; Ye Mo followed on his flying sword, complaining about the plane’s slowness. Two hours later, they landed at Hong Kong International Airport.
A car awaited. Ye Mo followed them to a rural gas station, then stopped.
This was a Northern Sand meeting area. The upstairs office looked simple, but the staff weren't. Two were Yellow Level; more importantly, a lavish underground room had a well-hidden entrance.
Ye Mo worried Chen Zhui might see through his invisibility. Even at the Chi Gathering Middle Stage, Chen Zhui was an Earth Peak master. If he sensed his chi waves, detecting Ye Mo would be easy despite his invisibility. Chen Zhui and Peter stood at the door; entering without passing them was impossible.
Then Chen Zhui’s phone rang. He turned, whispering carefully.
This was Ye Mo's chance. Chen Zhui was distracted; Peter, though stronger than Chen Zhui, was a mutant and wouldn't sense his chi waves.
Ye Mo entered the underground room undetected. Four armored, black-clothed men stood there, near Yellow Level. Ye Mo expected Earth Levels, but there weren't even Yellow Levels. It was reasonable; cultivating ancient martial arts wasn't easy.
Those four Black Levels he’d killed must have been important to Northern Sand. No wonder Liang Shiguo hadn't let him go.
“Director Liang, are you injured?” a buxom, beautiful woman asked, noticing the bandages on his shoulder. She reproached him.
Liang Shiguo waved a hand. “Sister Ling, now isn’t the time. I brought the crystal; I’m giving it to you. Having it is torture. Examine it.”
He showed the crystal.
She examined it carefully, nodding. “It’s genuine. Thank you, Director Liang. Elder Qu will arrive shortly. I’ll ship it with him tonight. Please sign here.”
Liang Shiguo signed, relieved.
“Director Liang, you seem troubled. Did you get this from Ye Mo?” she asked, surprised by his expression.
Liang Shiguo nodded. “Yes. We lost many men; I’ve reported it. I’m awaiting instructions on dealing with Ye Mo.” Two more people entered—a man in his sixties and one in his thirties.
“Elder Qu.”
Liang Shiguo and the woman greeted the old man.
Elder Qu nodded. “Xiao Liang did well. He finally got the crystal! Ten billion is important, but nothing compared to the crystal. However, considering Ye Mo killed 27 armed masters and 4 Black Level fighters instantly, yet acted so carelessly, making mistakes…it must be reported.”
The woman looked surprised. “Director Liang made other mistakes?”
The old man nodded. “After realizing his first method was wrong, openly discussing the crystal with Ye Mo was good, but he didn't notice Ye Mo disabled three hidden cameras. He found out later but didn't take it seriously, trying to use underhanded methods to eliminate Ye Mo—his second mistake.”
Elder Qu glanced coldly at Liang Shiguo. “Xiao Liang, do you think someone who can detect those cameras so quickly wouldn’t suspect something about the card? You’re declining. These last two years were too successful. If you hadn’t obtained the crystal, or if Ye Mo had realized its use, you would be dead a hundred times over. Northern Sand only has five Earth Level Tertiary Stage masters; we gave you one and Peter. Yet you lost four Black Level and 23 elite members.”
Liang Shiguo looked down, sweating, unable to speak.
Elder Qu softened his tone. “But you got the crystal back, so you’ll live. As for Ye Mo, we shouldn’t attack him. Currently, no one in the organization can match him.”
“Ye Mo is that strong? No one can match him?!” the young woman exclaimed, shocked.
The old man nodded seriously. “While we can’t be certain, that’s likely the case. We’ll see if Mu Zhen can match him. If not, our only option is to attack Ye Mo together.”
