Chapter 551: Sister Yan’s Whereabouts

Translator: Timothy Editor: GlobeGlotter

The first person Ye Mo thought of was Sha One. Had he saved Shi Kaigen? Regardless, Ye Mo decided to go to his territory and check.

“Why have you stayed?” Ye Mo asked Luo Xin.

Luo Xin looked uneasy. Ye Mo waved him off. “Thanks for the info, I’ll be going now.”

Luo Xin started to speak, but Ye Mo was already gone.

Ye Mo was right. Sha One had saved Shi Kaigen and Tong Zhu. Sha One was puzzled; usually, Ye Mo arrived immediately when something involved him, yet this gang battle had been nearly a month ago.

Shi Kaigen was also confused by Ye Mo’s absence and unreachable phone. He knew Sha One had saved him because of Ye Mo. Ye Mo had been to the Five States before, and Sha One seemed to fear him. From Sha One’s power, he seemed almost as strong as Ye Mo. How could he fear him?

Regardless, Shi Kaigen was grateful. Without Sha One, he wouldn’t have survived.

When Ye Mo arrived in the Five States, Sha One was talking to Shi Kaigen. Both were surprised by Ye Mo’s sudden appearance.

“Ye-Qianbei!” Sha One had saved Shi Kaigen for Ye Mo. He was pragmatic. Without Ye Mo, he wouldn’t have helped. Though the San Francisco Gang couldn’t touch him, he still had people to worry about, and in that area, the San Francisco Gang was powerful.

Shi Kaigen’s injuries weren’t serious, and with Sha One’s help, he'd recovered long ago. Seeing Ye Mo, he greeted him, “Brother Ye.”

“Tong Zhu isn’t here?” Ye Mo was relieved to see Shi Kaigen was fine. He’d feel guilty if anything had happened to him.

“Zhu Zi went out hunting for information—” Tong Zhu’s voice cut in. “Brother Shi, I saw Dick tonight—Gang Leader Sha, you’re here too,” Tong Zhu saw Ye Mo and exclaimed joyfully, “Brother Ye, you’re finally here!”

Ye Mo patted Tong Zhu’s shoulder. It was his fault Shi Kaigen and Tong Zhu were in this situation.

“So, what happened?” Ye Mo asked Shi Kaigen, wanting to hear his account, even though Luo Xin had explained it.

Shi Kaigen and Tong Zhu’s stories were similar, adding that Dick had relentlessly pursued Shi Kaigen even after knowing he’d been saved. Dick wouldn't rest until he’d captured and interrogated him about the Grey Alliance's destruction.

The San Francisco Gang’s pressure affected even Sha One’s business.

“You’re still in the human trafficking business?” Ye Mo felt repulsed, but conflicted due to Sha One’s help.

Sha One quickly replied, “No, ever since I last saw Qianbei, I stopped. I’m in weapons trading now.”

“Weapons? The latest weapons?” Ye Mo thought of Luo Yue. Luo Yue had bought weapons, but they were upgrades; countries wouldn’t sell directly, so she relied on underground dealings.

Before Sha One could answer, Shi Kaigen said, “The US differs from China. Major weapon manufacturers supply them—the US government buys from them. These manufacturers have political connections, making it easier for the US to obtain the latest weapons.”

“That’s right; like Thor, Universal Motion, ATK, etc. They’re close to the government and military, but that’s secondary. Large-scale weapons are restricted, but lighter weapons are easily obtained,” Sha One added.

Ye Mo nodded. “Sha One, you’ll get me the latest weapons. I’ll get the large-scale weapon blueprints myself. My company’s moved to Luo Yue, you know?”

Sha One eagerly seized the opportunity. “Ye-Qianbei, I know Luo Yue Corporation, and I wish to join Luo Yue City!”

Shi Kaigen and Tong Zhu were also excited, knowing of Luo Yue Pharmaceuticals’ legendary status. They wanted to join Luo Yue, but held back.

Ye Mo smiled. “Of course. My offer means I’m willing to have you join. Go back to Luo Yue now, or stay here and help me monitor US weapons and get the latest ones. Tell me immediately about any technological breakthroughs.”

Ye Mo admitted America was open, better than many countries. If they weren’t trying to devour Luo Yue, he wouldn’t attack. But no matter how strong, if they attacked Luo Yue, he’d retaliate. They believed they were the world’s Big Brother, and Ye Mo disliked that.

“I’ll stay and continue the firearms business,” Sha One said, followed by Shi Kaigen and Tong Zhu.

Ye Mo wouldn’t mistreat them. He made three defensive bracelets, each capable of saving a life. Shi Kaigen and Tong Zhu, having seen Ye Mo’s fireballs and legendary feats, viewed him as powerful and mysterious.

Sha One revered Ye Mo, still amazed by his speed from Chun An to Hong Kong. He considered everything Ye Mo gave him precious.

Despite Sha One’s rejection, Ye Mo left $50 million. He rarely used money, and this ensured Sha One’s dedication.

“I need the large-scale weapon blueprints—where do the manufacturers keep them?” The three were stunned.

Sha One reacted first. “Qianbei, are you joking?”

Ye Mo smiled. “No. I’m doing it today, because tonight, I’m hitting the San Francisco Gang.”

They thought him crazy—steal blueprints from US weapon dealers? But they realized he was serious.

Ye Mo waved his hand. “Give me the details, and I’ll figure it out.” He felt he hadn’t done enough in America yet.

As Sha One left to find information, Shi Kaigen said, “Brother Ye, you told me to find Sister Yan. I found something, but before I could report, the San Francisco Gang attacked.”

Ye Mo was shocked. Knowing Sister Yan could be his mother, he felt an indescribable emotion.
