Chapter 749: Ground Full of Great Heaven Bodies

Translator: Timothy_ Editor: GlobeGlotter

The Magical Continent Mountain, usually bustling, was eerily silent, a deathly stillness hanging in the air. Ye Mo turned, his face cold and indifferent, blood dripping from his body, to look at the four remaining great heaven masters. Everyone knew the young man intended to kill them all. They'd seen the fate of those who fled, so none dared to run.

“I only wanted to kill Yuan Chong and Qi Kai,” Ye Mo said, “but since you sought my life, pay the price.” His flying sword transformed into a blazing ray, aimed at Len Quan. He was determined to kill him.

But the next moment surprised everyone. Even Len Quan and Ling Wushui were taken aback as they simultaneously grabbed a nearby great heaven master and hurled them at Ye Mo, using the distraction to retreat. They both fled in the same manner.

The other two great heaven cultivators, unprepared for such a move from Len Quan and Ling Wushui, were defenseless. They were flung onto Ye Mo’s flying sword, their bodies severed at the waist in a bloody spray.

Ye Mo ignored Ling Wushui, focusing his flying sword on Len Quan. Len Quan cursed, but facing the oncoming sword, he could only watch Ling Wushui escape while he remained, desperately trying to fend off Ye Mo.

Ye Mo was acutely aware of his condition. His injuries weren't severe, but neither were they light. His cultivation essence was heavily depleted, despite consuming numerous pills. Even if he'd wanted to stop Ling Wushui, he couldn't. Indeed, had Ling Wushui stayed and fought to the death alongside the Taiyi Sect elder, the outcome would have been unpredictable.

“Little bastard, I’ll fight you to the death!” Len Quan roared, unleashing a devastating axe blow, pouring nearly all his inner qi into the attack.

Ye Mo sneered. This cultivator, he mused, likely began cultivation later in life, judging by his unorthodox weapon. Ye Mo channeled his essence into his flying sword, clashing with the axe. The sword remained unscathed.

Thud! The immense force of the axe sent Ye Mo flying back several meters, forcing him to spit blood for the first time in the battle.

Len Quan was astonished. So many had attacked Ye Mo without drawing blood, yet a single full-powered strike from him caused Ye Mo to spit blood. It was peculiar. But then he understood. Ye Mo was powerful, but he was at his limit.

“Hahaha!” Len Quan laughed hysterically. He wasn't confident of victory, but he laughed at their failure to cooperate. Had they worked together, Ye Mo would likely be dead. Their prioritization of escape had only benefited Ye Mo. Even with just Ling Wushui, they might have defeated him, but now it was too late. Ling Wushui had fled, leaving him alone to face Ye Mo.

Ye Mo consumed another lotus life pill, refusing to retreat as Len Quan charged. He understood Len Quan's desperate attack.

Flying sword and axe clashed again; Ye Mo stumbled back. His chi was inferior. Before Len Quan could continue, Ye Mo unleashed countless wind blades and, fueled by essence blood, dozens of fireballs. He needed to end this quickly, worried about Mu Xiaoyun and his own failing state.

Len Quan spun his axe, creating a powerful qi swirl that shattered Ye Mo’s wind blades and fireballs.

Ye Mo consumed his last essence chi pill, unleashing another barrage of fireballs and wind blades.

Len Quan raged, but couldn’t break through the onslaught. He knew continued resistance meant death.

Cruelty hardened his eyes as his Qi Sea expanded. The inner qi intensified, deflecting Ye Mo’s attacks.

Ye Mo inwardly rejoiced. His strategy had worked. Len Quan and Ling Wushui's fear had broken their will to fight. Had they stayed, he would have been in grave danger.

Len Quan, after deflecting the magic skills, leaped into the air, launching a final, desperate attack towards Ye Mo's head. He was at his limit, nearly depleted of power.

Ye Mo was shocked. He hadn't expected such a powerful final attack, but the wounds on Len Quan showed the price he'd paid to escape the barrage.

Ye Mo intercepted the axe with his flying sword, gathering his remaining cultivation essence before punching Len Quan. He thought if Len Quan dodged and he followed with wind blades, he could finish him once the flying sword was free.

But he overestimated Len Quan. Len Quan had exhausted his inner qi. He couldn't dodge; he could only use his remaining qi to glide in mid-air.

Thud!

The fistwind struck Len Quan's chest directly. Flesh scattered as Len Quan's body disintegrated into a bloody mist.

Yun Ziyi arrived swiftly, but even before reaching the mountain, she saw people fleeing. Stopping someone, she learned that the great sects had attacked Ye Mo, resulting in a cataclysmic battle.

Yun Ziyi knew Ye Mo was strong, but also knew the nature of Magical Continent Mountain and the power amassed there. She wasn't overly concerned; he could fly away if necessary.

Reaching the peak, she was horrified. Bloodied bodies lay everywhere; the battle seemed ongoing.

‘Ye Mo didn’t run?’ she thought. But then she saw Ye Mo reduce Len Quan to bloody mist.

She was shocked. She knew Len Quan's power; even her father, a great heaven peak cultivator, might not have defeated him. Yet Ye Mo had obliterated him.

Looking further, she was stunned by the countless great heaven masters lying dead. She recognized many – Qi Kai, Elder Jin, the sect leaders of the Forgery Hall and Gemini Sword Sect, and others. Those slain were all grand elders or sect leaders!

These renowned figures, each capable of dominating the world, lay dead, many reduced to nothing more than remnants.
