Chapter 751: Knowing Will
“Elder, do you come here often?” Ji Yilan asked, surprised by the stone room’s cleanliness.
Elder Feng sat in a wooden chair, shaking her head. “No, this is only my second time. Entering requires five chi stones, which took me over a decade to gather. This room holds a great secret. I planned to help you become a second-grade hidden sect member before leaving Ice Lake to investigate, but Xiaoyun’s situation forced my hand. A pity about the chi stones.”
Mu Xiaoyun frowned, sensing something odd in Elder Feng’s words.
Seeing Ji Yilan’s confusion, Elder Feng ignored her and addressed Mu Xiaoyun. “Xiaoyun, I know your husband isn’t ordinary, and his cultivation method isn’t an ancient martial art, is it? He must have taught you. As a fellow Ice Lake disciple, who has benefited from the sect, please show us your cultivation method. Don’t worry, I won’t mistreat you.”
Mu Xiaoyun immediately understood. Elder Feng wanted her cultivation method; her status as an Ice Lake disciple was a pretext. Her good impression of the elder vanished.
“Grandma, you…?” Ji Yilan stared at Elder Feng in disbelief, shocked by her grandmother’s deception.
Elder Feng waved her hand. “Yilan, you don’t understand what Ye Mo’s cultivation method means to Ice Lake, to me. Legends say that long ago, people on the Magical Continent didn’t cultivate ancient martial arts, but something allowing flight, weather control, and even longevity! But only ancient martial arts remain, hitting a bottleneck—we can’t surpass the great heaven.”
Turning back to Mu Xiaoyun, Elder Feng continued, “Xiaoyun, I’ve watched you for four years. You’ve actively cultivated for less than a year, and it wasn’t the Star Rain method, yet your progress was unbelievable. I didn't understand why, but seeing your husband today, I guessed you never used the Star Rain method. You imitated it with something else, correct?”
Ji Yilan stared at Mu Xiaoyun in shock—black level peak in a single year? It was astounding!
Mu Xiaoyun replied coldly, “Indeed, I haven’t cultivated the Star Rain method, but what my husband gave me. However, I won’t give it to anyone without his permission.” Her tone was flat, but her resolve was clear.
Elder Feng’s joy was immense, tinged with madness. “Of course! How else could a young man slaughter great heaven masters? Xiaoyun, if not for your cultivation method, I wouldn’t be so rude. I’m grateful; he cured my injuries. But now, I must have the method.” The glint in her eyes intensified, and she rose to attack Mu Xiaoyun.
“Grandma, how can you? Xiaoyun is our Ice Lake disciple, my martial sister!” Ji Yilan protested, aghast at her grandmother’s behavior.
“Yilan, step aside. You’ll understand; what I do is right. No one can stop me, because you can’t imagine what this cultivation method means.” Elder Feng’s face hardened, pushing Ji Yilan aside.
Mu Xiaoyun stepped back, offering Elder Feng six spirit stones. “Elder Feng, I know you need chi stones. These are yours. I just want to see my husband, and I think he’ll agree to your request.”
Mu Xiaoyun knew that revealing her cultivation method meant death. She didn't fear death, but she wouldn't leave her husband.
Elder Feng was stunned by the spirit stones, her body shaking with excitement. She tossed the chi stones to the ground. “You…you have a storage ring? A spatial ring! Such things exist! It’s real!”
Mu Xiaoyun was merely stalling, but her action only fueled Elder Feng’s frenzy.
Seeing Elder Feng’s hysteria, Ji Yilan, tears streaming down her face, stepped forward again. “Grandma, Xiaoyun is an Ice Lake disciple. Ask her husband for the method!”
“Get out of my way!” Elder Feng, consumed by excitement, not anger, slapped Ji Yilan away. With the ring and the cultivation method, she could become the Magical Continent’s top cultivator! The Taiyi and Kun Qian would regret this!
Elder Feng lunged at Mu Xiaoyun, intending to knock her unconscious and take the ring. But before her palm connected, a faint light barrier shot from Mu Xiaoyun’s wrist. It shattered, releasing a blue mist that filled the room.
Elder Feng lunged again, but a searing pain shot through her meridians. She couldn’t use her inner qi! Mu Xiaoyun, a black level peak warrior, could easily kill her now.
Mu Xiaoyun’s heart ached as she saw her broken bracelet. Her husband had said it was like him being with her. Rage consumed her.
She drew her flying sword from the spatial ring and attacked.
Elder Feng, panicked, kicked a spirit stone toward Mu Xiaoyun while retreating. It landed in a sink. The other sinks buzzed, sucking in the remaining stones. White light filled the room.
The four were shocked. The room rumbled, sealing shut.
Elder Feng was dazed, but the pain returned. Her inner qi vanished.
“Knowing Will Pill…knowing my will! Cunning little bastard, I hate you!” Elder Feng writhed on the ground. She understood: attacking Mu Xiaoyun triggered the bracelet’s herbal smoke; combined with the Knowing Will Pill, it rendered her powerless.
