Chapter 770: First Disciple

Ye Mo said helplessly, โ€œYour sister is in solitary cultivation; the sect doesnโ€™t allow her to leave easily. People sometimes stay inside for decades, so stop waiting. And, if you really want to help her, do you think you can achieve an astounding martial arts level in this village?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m Ye Mo, your sisterโ€™s friend. If you want to learn martial arts, I can teach you.โ€ Ye Mo thought he had a whole stack of ancient martial arts cultivation methodsโ€”he could easily spare a few.

Shi Tie, dazed at first, quickly knelt, โ€œMaster, Iโ€™m willing to learn! I know martial arts are hard, but Iโ€™m not afraid of hard work.โ€

Ye Mo shook his head. โ€œGet up and put your hand on this device.โ€ He produced the testing device Yun Ziyi had given him.

โ€œA wind spirit root?โ€ Ye Mo exclaimed, shocked by Shi Tieโ€™s exceptional talent. It was a pity to use such a spirit root for ancient martial arts. He fell silent, considering truth cultivation.

Shi Tie anxiously awaited Ye Moโ€™s decision.

After a long pause, Ye Mo sighed, looking at Shi Tie. โ€œI have two cultivation methods: ancient martial artsโ€”the most powerful heaven-level method, enough to make you the strongest on the continentโ€”and the method Iโ€™m currently learning. Itโ€™s not ancient martial arts. Which do you choose?โ€

If Shi Tie chose ancient martial arts, Ye Mo wouldnโ€™t take him as a disciple, offering resources at most. Truth cultivation, however, meant discipleship.

Shi Tie knelt without hesitation. โ€œMaster, I want to learn what you cultivate.โ€

Ye Mo approved Shi Tieโ€™s cleverness. Of course, his own method was the best; otherwise, why would he cultivate it? Shi Tie, however, simply reasoned that a disciple should learn what their master cultivates.

โ€œOkay, get up. What I cultivate is incredibly powerful, far stronger than ancient martial arts, but also very dangerous. If someone discovers it before youโ€™re strong enough, you could be killed. The first rule is secrecy. Can you do it?โ€

โ€œYes,โ€ Shi Tie nodded.

Ye Mo said, โ€œIโ€™ll teach you the Primordial Fortune Chant. Remember it.โ€ He gave Shi Tie the cultivation method up to the foundation establishment state, carefully explaining it before adding a black-level method as a disguise.

Afterwards, Ye Mo wrote Shi Tie a letter, instructing him to cultivate in the village. If he needed resources, he could use the letter to find Yun Ziyi at the Magical Merchant Association.

Ye Mo hadn't planned on going to Gan Tong City, but the thought of Mo Youshen made him want to teach him a lesson. He felt no brotherly affection for Mo Youshen. Had Mo Youshen not schemed against Mu Xiaoyun and him, Ye Mo might have even helped him occasionally. Now, he might kill him.

He scanned Gan Tong City with his spirit sense, immediately locating Mo Youshen, who looked anxiously around. Ye Mo sneered and prepared to go, but then saw a fortune-telling stall: โ€˜Know your past and future! I predict fortune and disaster.โ€™ The name was โ€˜Ze Tian.โ€™

The owner was an old Daoist monk, appearing immortal.

Ye Mo was about to leave, but remembered Li Cheng mentioning Master Tian Ze. โ€˜Ze Tianโ€™ was โ€˜Tian Zeโ€™ reversed. Could this be him?

Suspecting the monk was Master Tian Ze, Ye Mo quickly slipped into the stall, wanting to ask about Mu Xiaoyunโ€™s whereabouts and escape.

The monk, having just finished with a client, saw Ye Mo. Ye Mo saw his pupils dilate, his eyes narrowing. โ€œThe Mu family girl finally found you, butโ€”sighโ€”โ€

Ye Mo was shocked. The monk knew his connection to Mu Xiaoyun before Ye Mo had even spoken. Was such a person possible? His heart pounded. Did the monk know about his transmigration?

Before Ye Mo could ask, the monk waved. โ€œYou neednโ€™t ask. I canโ€™t answer those questions. Iโ€™ll close for the day. Come back another time.โ€

Ye Mo wouldnโ€™t let him go. โ€œMaster Tian Ze, Li Cheng-Qianbei told me of your powers.โ€

Li Cheng had never said this, but Ye Mo wasn't letting the opportunity slip.

The old monk shook his head. โ€œThat little guy always gets me into trouble! Fine, fate has brought us together. Iโ€™ll help you.โ€

Ye Mo relaxed. Li Cheng was over a hundred years old, yet the monk called him โ€˜little guy.โ€™

Tian Ze had Ye Mo sit and produced an eight-sided trigram. He didn't ask what Ye Mo wanted to know, only looking at Ye Mo's face and calculating.

After a moment, he stood abruptly, looking dazedly at Ye Mo. โ€œBesides a chaos world, thereโ€™s someone whose fate I canโ€™t predict. Thatโ€™s impossible!โ€

Ye Mo asked, confused, โ€œMaster Tian Ze, what is impossible?โ€

But Tian Ze seemed not to hear. He packed up and walked into the crowd without looking back.

Ye Mo tried to stop him, but the monk vanished instantly. Ye Mo used his spirit sense, shocked to find the old Daoist monk outside its range.

He frowned, sitting on the stone stool Tian Ze had used. What did he mean by โ€˜chaos worldโ€™?

Ye Mo pondered. Was it because of the golden script world? The world inside did seem chaotic.
