Chapter 109: The Breakup
Olive blanked. She couldn't understand how he equated "quarreling" with stalking and kissing. His domineering yet charming aura nearly overwhelmed her; she felt her legs wobble.
Nearby, Los Angeles celebrities watched the unfolding drama.
"Mr. Augustine and Olive were fighting, right?" a tall man mused.
"Yeah, I thought so," another agreed.
"But why did President Augustine kiss Olive?" a third asked, confused.
"Girl, I'm confused too," the third man added, their gaze fixed on the couple.
Pamela had sent someone to investigate Olive and Elvis. The spy reported that they hadn't seen each other in days. This excited Pamela; her plan was working. She believed exposing Elvis's "ghost husband" online would cause a breakup.
Pamela also knew Olive's biggest fan was Samantha. She'd checked Samantha's social media but found no evidence of Olive and Elvis still being together.
Pamela learned Elvis would be at KissLand bar that night for Raven's twenty-seventh birthday. She was certain he'd attend, given their childhood friendship. This was her chance to get close to him.
Monica took Pamela's hand. "Pamela, you must go to the bar to see if Elvis and Olive really broke up. If they did, it's your chance to win Elvis's heart."
"In a few days, it's your and Olive's shared birthday. I'll throw a party; you must invite President Augustine. Then Olive will be the laughingstock!" Monica declared confidently.
Pamela was thrilled. If Elvis attended her party, it would be perfect. "Mom, I'll invite President Augustine. He'll definitely come!"
KissLand Bar: Elvis and Harry were present, as were Pamela and Gwen. They were playing cards.
In the luxurious room, Pamela sat beside Elvis, observing his expression. "Mr. Augustine," she began softly, "Olive's 'ghost husband' was recently exposed. Do you feel bad about it?"
Gwen interjected hastily, "Mr. Augustine, you were deceived by Olive's innocent facade. She seduces men. That husband is a pathetic psychopath who clings to her. Olive is dirty."
Pamela, though pleased with Gwen's words, quickly rebuked her. "Gwen, don't be like that."
Raven and Harry knew Elvis was the "ghost." Raven's loud laughter caught everyone's attention.
"Raven, what's so funny?" Gwen asked, puzzled.
Pamela echoed her question. "Raven, what's amusing?"
"Forgive me," Raven apologized, chuckling. "I heard something hilarious." Elvis, just called a psychopath, leaned back lazily on the sofa, his long legs elegantly crossed, smoking a cigar. He inhaled deeply, then looked at Gwen faintly. "Don't mention her name. She's a spoiler."
Pamela's joy was evident, though she tried to hide her blush. Harry stared admiringly at Elvis.
"Bro, what's up?"
"Rave, I've prepared a surprise for you," Harry said to Raven.
"What surprise?" Raven asked lazily.
Harry snapped his fingers, and several scantily clad young women entered from a private room.
"Rave, I got you these beautiful ladies," Harry beamed.
The women surrounded Raven, enthusiastically wishing him a happy birthday and proclaiming their availability. Raven, in a white shirt and black trousers, remained indifferent, leaning against the sofa.
The game's host laughed. "The number one beauty is North. Young Master Raven, isn't North your sister? Why isn't she here?"
"Yeah, I last saw North two years ago. We only see her in magazines," one of the young men muttered. "We all want to see North."
Harry wanted to punch the young masters. He watched Raven, who remained unmoved despite the birthday celebration.
A soft voice cut through the air. "Who wants to see me?"
All eyes turned as Olive and North entered, North in sunglasses, Olive masked.
North's charming eyes met Raven's. She smiled playfully. "Happy birthday, bro. You're getting older; find me a sister-in-law soon!"
Raven scoffed.
Pamela, delighted to see Olive, quickly addressed her. "Olive, there's been a lot of commotion about your affairs. What are you going to do?"
