Chapter 89: Wanna Play?

From the moment she arrived at the Dominos' house, she could hear Mr. and Mrs. Domino's never-ending quarrel. Mrs. Domino constantly cursed at her mother, calling her a vixen and a shameless bitch. Later, she turned her rage on North, calling her a little bastard and slut. North had witnessed Mr. Domino physically abuse Mrs. Domino; on one occasion, a slap knocked her from her wheelchair.

Now an adult, North understood Mrs. Domino's hatred. Her mother had cheated with Mr. Domino, an affair that resulted in her parents' deaths and Mrs. Domino's incapacitation. Little wonder that after the car accident, all of Robertson's relatives and friends treated North coldly and refused to help her.

But North found it difficult to believe her mother had cheated. Gloria had been beautiful, intelligent, and gentle. She always waited up for Robertson until he returned from work. North remembered their peaceful family life. The reality of the truth shattered her idyllic memories.

Her phone vibrated; Raven was calling again. North silently thanked the phone's manufacturers for its robust, rain-resistant design. She answered and held the phone to her ear.

"North, where are you? It's raining," Raven's low voice said.

North touched her face, wet with rain or tears, she couldn't tell.

"I'm worried. I'll come find you."

"Don't come, Raven, please don't," North pleaded.

Raven was silent. North hung up. She'd overheard his conversation with his mother; Raven was the cruelest, most despicable man she'd ever known. He'd manipulated her into falling in love with him, the hunter to her prey.

On her eighteenth birthday, intoxicated and feverish, she'd gone to his room and into his bed. That night, he'd had sex with her, muttering Pamela's name. When others entered the room, he slapped her. The caring Raven vanished, replaced by a cruel and hypocritical man. His hatred for her mother had transferred to her, and he'd destroyed her. He ruined her body and her heart.

That day, she left the Domino family and Los Angeles. For two years, she'd secretly healed her broken heart, transforming herself into a guarded, unapproachable person. Yet, the pain lingered.

North hugged herself, sobbing in the freezing rain. Raven watched from a distance.

After she left Los Angeles and entered the entertainment industry, he'd secretly orchestrated her career—her production team, every scene, the directors, and screenwriters—all vetted by him. At her age, with her beauty, she was vulnerable, unaware of how to handle men's advances. He'd even ensured she had the same phone model as him to track her location and monitor her life.

North's clothes were soaked. He longed to embrace her, but he couldn't.

Meanwhile, at the Red Villa, Elvis exited his Rolls-Royce Phantom, carrying a drowsy Olive. Olive nestled comfortably against his crisp black shirt, rubbing her face against it like a kitten. Madam Samantha was asleep. Elvis gently put Olive down, but she stumbled. He caught her, his arm firmly around her waist. Olive clung to his neck, her hands tracing lines on his abdomen.

"You're in great shape," she mumbled. "You must be amazing in bed."

Elvis swallowed, removing her mask. Her face was flushed.

"Sexy Mr. Augustine," she said, her voice slurred. "I want to spoil you tonight."

Elvis chuckled at her drunken state. "I'm expensive. Can you afford me?"

"Yes, I can," she replied, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a coin.
