The moment I stepped into my pack, the breeze on my face instantly lifted my spirits. What a relief to be home! At the airport, my driver awaited me. Damia and I walked to the car as he carried our luggage.
I arrived at the pack house late that evening after dropping Damia off. Entering, I was greeted by my twins running toward me. I knelt, pulling them into a warm embrace.
"Mommy!"
"My babies," I replied.
Looking up, I saw Jason and Eric smiling. I released the twins and hugged my brother. "Brother, is everything okay?"
"Yes, my little baby. Why wouldn't it be?"
"You called Eric, so I thought"
"Everything's alright. He's not just your assistant; he's the pack's beta. Sometimes, his Alpha needs him too," he said mockingly.
I lightly hit his arm, and everyone chuckled.
"Mommy, we missed you," Noah said.
"Mommy, this is for you," Aria said, handing me a drawing. It was a sketch of a woman waving to two children while carrying luggage. Aria was a talented artist; she expressed her emotions beautifully through her sketches.
I kissed her cheek and hugged them both again. "Mommy missed you too. Let's go to your room. Mommy brought lots of things for my babies."
Holding their hands, I glanced at Jason and Eric. Jason nodded, giving me permission to spend time with the children.
A maid retrieved my luggage from the car trunk. I thanked her; she bowed and left.
I gave the children their new clothes; their joy was evident as they jumped on the bed. Their happiness made me chuckle.
At dinnertime, maids informed me that Jason was waiting in the dining room.
I had been in my bedroom showering after talking with the children.
In the dining room, Jason and Eric sat at the table.
"Where are Aria and Noah?" I asked.
"They've eaten," Eric replied.
"Good."
I pulled up a chair next to my brother and sat down. We ate, exchanging glances.
"Brother, is there something you want to say?"
"Finish your meal first. I have several things to discuss."
I lost my appetite; I knew what he meant. He'd want the latest news, and I feared his anger. His silence had been worrying.
Noticing his gaze on my half-eaten plate, I forced myself to finish.
After dinner, we moved to the living room. "Brother," I began.
"Where did he take you that night?" Jason asked directly.
I hesitated. How can I tell him about Adrian and what he did?
"I'm asking you, Natalia."
"Brother, he wanted to talk"
"You said that after the council party."
Seeing his fury, I lowered my head. "Brother, he probably just wanted to humiliate me with that news."
He nodded. "He always tries to humiliate you, doesn't he?"
I nodded. His eyes darkened.
"This time, I'll show him what real humiliation is."
Confused, I frowned. "What will you do, brother?"
"You don't need to know," Eric interjected.
"But I can't let two packs fight over this news," I retorted.
Jason's intense stare made me nervous.
"Would you care if I fought him?"
I shook my head. "Brother, please don't. I don't want a war with the Crystal Blood Pack."
He sighed, stood, and patted my head. I looked up at him.
"I love you, brother. I love Mom and Dad. A war risks losing family. I don't want to lose any of you."
He wiped away my tears. The thought of war had brought me to tears; I'd never experienced war and never wanted to.
"I'm not initiating a war. But what he did to youI won't tolerate it. He dared to touch my sister after my warning. I will crush his arrogance soon."
