Listen to this chapter:

My fists shook as I grabbed his collar. My anger was so intense that I wanted to kill the man standing before me. But I controlled myself and released him.

“Just shut your mouth,” I said.

He didn't stop, instead throwing a barrage of questions at me. “What gave your brother the audacity to talk about my health? What did he think? His sister got impregnated by someone else, not because of her sham—"

His face contorted with fury as he demanded answers.

I had no response. My brother had provoked him by mentioning this.

“I will snatch everything from you and your brother. I will make your family grovel before me. Remember my words, Natalia Hansley,” he spat.

“Leave my pack and never return. My pack doesn't need you.”

“I’m leaving your pack this time, but I will not let your brother go. The man who insulted me in front of other Alphas deserves to die by my hand.”

His words shocked me. I roared, “Don’t you dare hurt him. Death cannot touch him. Do you know why?”

He stared at me strangely, but I ignored him.

Moving closer, I muttered, “Because I am always with him. Whoever tries to harm him, I will rip their heart out.”

My words were a direct threat. I wanted him to know I would kill him if he dared harm my brother.

Adrian didn't react; he seemed lost in thought, as if he hadn't heard me.

I scoffed, noticing him staring at my lips. I wiped my lips with a disgusted look.

Turning, I quickly left his side. I couldn't bear to stay near him any longer.

Reaching the living room, I hurried to my room. A maid called out, “Young Miss?”

I turned. “Alpha told you to go to his room?”

“Why? Is the meeting over?”

“No. He said he would be there in a while.”

I nodded. Before I could turn, the maid said, “Your lips…”

I covered my mouth. Had she seen the wound?

“Your lipstick is gone.”

I was stunned. I usually wore light lipstick, but today I’d worn red. My maids would have noticed. It was the kiss; my lipstick had smudged.

“I wiped my lips with a tissue. Maybe that’s why.”

I went to my room. As I closed the door, something occurred to me.

I rushed to the mirror. The cut on my bottom lip was already healed.

“Did he notice it then?” I wondered.

I sat on my bed. I didn't understand what he wanted from me. The more I tried to avoid him, the closer he seemed to get.

As I thought of his kiss, I rubbed my lips. “I hate you. I hate you. I hate you,” I repeated, thinking of him.

I knew my brother's actions were inappropriate, but that man deserved the humiliation. In fact, after today, he deserved more. "Isn't it harassment? How dare he kiss me?" I cried, pulling my hair in distress.

I paced my room when the door opened. I stopped as two men entered.

“I called you to my room. Why didn’t you go?” Jason asked, closing the door.

Eric approached. “What happened? Why do you look so worried?”

Ignoring him, I looked at my brother. I was furious with Eric for what I'd overheard yesterday.

“Brother, why did you do that?” I asked Jason.

He frowned. “What did I do?”

“Brother, I know everything.”

“How? Did you install a camera in the meeting room?” he chuckled.

He seemed in high spirits. I sighed and walked to him.

“Brother, you’re usually polite. But today’s actions were inappropriate. Why did you disrespect him?”

Jason took my hand. “Natalia, why do you care for him? Have you forgotten what he did to you?”

I shook my head. “I remember everything, brother. But I didn’t expect this from you. You set up the whole meeting just to humiliate him—”

Jason cupped my face. “I can’t see my sister cry. That man made you cry countless times. The divorce didn’t stop him; he kept troubling you. I should have taught him a lesson years ago.”

I didn’t know what to say. He stroked my hair.

“He’s finished. He’ll never bother you again. I showed him his place today.”

I nodded.

“Alpha Leo is my end. The contract was made with him. I’m throwing a party tomorrow for the alliance.”

“I was not to join any party,” I said, turning to the window.

“You’re part of the pack company. You have to attend.”

“Hmm,” I responded, looking outside.

They stared at me. Seeing I wasn't budging, they left, leaving me alone.

The final section needs further editing for clarity and consistency in verb tense and sentence structure, but this provides a much cleaner version. The odd capitalization and random text ("Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the ƒind ηøᴠel.nᴇt website…") has been removed.
