Listen to this chapter:

Adrian's POV

When everyone gathered near the stage, Patric asked me to join them. Lynda approached me on the way, and we went together. The announcement was imminent, and everyone was eager to see the Blue Blood Pack's princess. My mind was preoccupied with Natalia, almost causing me to forget about the princess entirely. I shook off those thoughts and tried to focus on the stage.

However, when Alpha Martin called his daughter onto the stage, I was completely stunned. I narrowed my eyes, watching in disbelief. How could this be possible? Was I dreaming? Was I hallucinating, seeing Natalia in another woman's place?

I looked away, shaking my head. I attributed my continued thoughts of Natalia to the alcohol I'd consumed. But then Alpha Martin spoke again, and my heart froze.

"This is my daughter, Jessica, but I'd like you all to call her Natalia Martin. She prefers that name, so I've changed it."

Slowly, I turned back to the stage. My eyes fell on Natalia. She was smiling, standing between Alpha Martin and his wife, Jade Martin.

How could she be the daughter of an Alpha? Not just any Alpha, but the former head Alpha of the Blue Blood Pack!

"Impossible!"

I heard an angry murmur from my left. It was Lynda, speaking softly, but I couldn't tear my eyes away from the stage. I saw her biological parents embracing her. Everyone applauded.

When Alpha Jason joined them, standing beside Natalia, my eyes widened. I realized my mistake. 'I accused her about her own brother! Fuck!' I cursed mentally.

"I think something's wrong. How can she be from a royal family? She doesn't loo—"

I turned to my left, my glare interrupting Lynda. Her eyes widened, and she looked away.

"You're the one who gave me those photos," I said angrily. "Ad—Adrian, I didn't know."

"Didn't you say your friend heard them talking about spending the night together?"

"I—I…" Lynda paused, lowering her head. I wanted to yell at her, but Patric took my hand and pulled me to a corner.

"Enverar [this word seems misspelled, perhaps intended to be 'Instead'] in watching you. What are you doing?" Patric asked.

I glimpsed at the corner and saw several Alphas moving toward us. I clenched my fists, rage consuming me.

"I know it's surprising. I'm shocked too. I never thought she was a head Alpha's daughter. The Blue Blood Pack isn't a small pack; it's—"

I gave him a stern look. His eyebrows shot up.

"What? Are you regretting divorcing an Alpha's daughter?"

I frowned. "Do you really think I care about her family's status?"

"Then what's making you so mad?"

I glanced at Natalia. She was talking with some Alphas as her brother, Alpha Jason, introduced her.

"She helped my dad with the cure, and I misunderstood her."

Patric remained silent for a moment, wisely choosing to hold his tongue. Then, he whispered,

"It's all Lynda's fault."

I looked for Lynda, but she was gone. I felt bad for snapping at her; she was innocent.

"It's all her friend's fault. Find out which friend followed Natalia that night."

"You should ask her."

"I have all the footage. Check it. Find out who was there. Identify them."

"Okay," Patric replied, dialing a number.

I calmed myself and approached the Alphas talking with Natalia. Alpha Jason raised an eyebrow, but maintained his composure and greeted me politely in front of the others.

"Alpha Adrian."

The other Alphas looked stunned, stepping aside to make room for me.

"Nice to see you, Alpha Adrian." one said. Others bowed.

I sneered. Some of these Alphas ruled their own packs; their members were obligated to bow. I nodded curtly and addressed Alpha Jason, who stood tall, not bothering to bow, given his position.

"Alpha Jason." My gaze shifted to Natalia. She was watching me intently, trying to gauge my reaction. I didn't give her the satisfaction.

I smiled and extended my hand.

"I see. You're the lost princess of this pack, Jessica Martin."

She looked at my hand, but before she could react, her brother shook my hand instead, preventing her. My attention turned to him; I saw anger in his eyes.

"Alpha Adrian, pleased to meet you. But I'm protective of my sister." He released my hand.

"Overprotective?" I muttered.

He chuckled, his words laced with a warning.

"Truth is, she's been through a lot because of someone who doesn't deserve her. I always wondered how he'd confront me. But then, I thought no one could—" (The passage cuts off here).

The revised passage corrects grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, improving flow and readability. Several unclear or possibly misspelled words remained ambiguous and were left as they were, noted with explanations. The final sentence is incomplete in the original text.
