Chapter 1051: Be Good
“Archie! Benny!” Estella finally smiled. Archie and Benny were equally thrilled to see her. The children sat together, observing each other as if meeting for the first time.
After a while, Archie frowned. “Didn’t Mr. Farwell take good care of you? You seem to have lost weight.” Estella’s cheeks were noticeably less chubby.
Estella pinched her cheeks, smiling adorably. Tilting her head, she whispered, “I guess I was in low spirits.”
The boys stared anxiously. “Did Mr. Farwell bully you?” Estella’s mood brightened considerably at their arrival; a joyful grin spread across her face.
She stuck out her tongue mischievously. “It’s because I didn’t get to see Ms. Jarvis and you both. Daddy made me angry, so he dared not upset me further!”
Archie and Benny relaxed. Benny, concerned, asked, “Ms. Ward told us Mr. Farwell wants to transfer you to another school. Is that true?”
Estella nodded slightly, then shook her head. “Yes, I was transferred, but I only stayed for one day.”
The boys were confused.
Estella puffed her cheeks. “I don’t like that school. I want to be with you both.”
Archie and Benny couldn’t bear her disappointment. “We want to be with you, too!” Benny raised his arm, his sleeve sliding down to reveal a wound.
Estella spotted the scar immediately, frowning. “What is this? What happened?”
Benny offered a guilty smile. “I fell down. Mommy already tended to it.” He quickly lowered his sleeve.
Estella pouted at the mention of Roxanne. It had been a long time since she’d seen Ms. Jarvis. Benny realized his mistake, glancing at Archie for help, but Archie was at a loss.
Roxanne refused to see Estella, despite any attempts at persuasion.
As the boys struggled to change the subject, Estella brightened. “Why don’t you take me with you?” she suggested, inching closer and tugging their sleeves. “Could I please come to your house so I can see Ms. Jarvis?”
The boys couldn’t refuse her pleading gaze. “Sure. But you must be obedient!”
Estella bobbed her head.
After playing for a while, Estella glanced at the clock. “Let’s go. Daddy will be back soon!”
Archie and Benny sprang to their feet. Bringing Estella home with them would be difficult once Lucian returned.
The children slipped out quietly. Benny went downstairs first to distract Catalina.
“Ms. Catalina, I’d like some water,” he said, blinking innocently.
Catalina’s heart melted. She immediately poured him a glass.
