Chapter 1244

โ€œYou asked for it!โ€ Aubree snapped, lunging at Roxanne.

Roxanne swiftly grasped an acupuncture point on Aubreeโ€™s arm, weakening her with a sharp discomfort.

โ€œIโ€™m not only going to slap you, I also want to remind you that youโ€™re the real homewrecker!โ€ Roxanne moved closer, whispering fiercely, โ€œYou merely got engaged to Lucian, but I was his wife. If it werenโ€™t for you, we wouldnโ€™t have divorced!โ€

This was news to Aubree. Cold sweat broke out on her forehead as she gritted her teeth against the pain.

โ€œThatโ€™s because Lucian loves me! He wouldnโ€™t have married you if it werenโ€™t for his grandfather!โ€

Roxanneโ€™s eyelashes fluttered. Her heart wavered, but she quickly composed herself. Aubreeโ€™s actions are too outrageous. I need to solve this. With chilling calm, she said, โ€œRegardless, we were married. If you hate homewreckers, then you should have kept your distance from him instead of becoming one yourself!โ€

Aubree paled. โ€œYouโ€™re being unreasonable!โ€

โ€œYou know whether I am or not.โ€ Roxanne applied pressure to another acupuncture point, ensuring Aubreeโ€™s weakness before pushing her away.

Aubree gasped, her arm numb with pain. Yet, fueled by fury at the insults, she mustered her courage to attack again. As she lunged at Roxanneโ€”and Roxanne retaliated with acupuncture pressureโ€”a commotion erupted at the mansionโ€™s door.

โ€œAubree!โ€

Frieda arrived, rushing in to witness the chaotic scene. Without hesitation, she shoved Roxanne away. โ€œAre you crazy? Canโ€™t you have a civil discussion?โ€ Aubree, weakened by the pressure on both arms, could barely stand; Frieda steadied her.

โ€œYouโ€™re crazy!โ€ Aubree glared at Roxanne, then turned to Frieda. โ€œSheโ€™s nuts!โ€

Frieda, flustered and enraged by Aubreeโ€™s distress, growled, โ€œDonโ€™t you realize Aubree is Lucianโ€™s fiancรฉe? How could you do this to her? Donโ€™t you fear Lucianโ€™s retaliation?โ€

Roxanne, holding two needles of unknown origin, her eyes like ice, declared, โ€œShe started this. If Lucian wants to retaliate, heโ€™s welcome. Howeverโ€ฆโ€ She brandished the needles, approaching Aubree.

Fear choked Frieda. She held Aubree tightly, backing away slowly. After two hesitant steps, forcing herself to stop, she asked, โ€œWhat do you want?โ€

Roxanne glanced at her needles, replying calmly, โ€œWhat else? You know. Ms. Pearson needs a lesson, and youโ€™re not getting off the hook. Youโ€™ll ask Lucian to retaliate, so why should I let you go easily?โ€

A menacing look crossed her face. โ€œArchie, Benny, take Estella upstairs.โ€

The children, sensing Roxanne's resolve, obediently escorted Estella. Their ascent was interrupted by a scream from below.
