Chapter 1311

“Since you have trouble recalling, I’ll let Mr. Zaythrone remind you,” Lucian said, his disgust evident as he watched her tears. “If he gets anything wrong, you’re welcome to correct him.” He gestured to Cory, who cleared his throat.

“Ms. Pearson hired me to keep an eye on Ms. Jarvis,” Cory began, but Aubree interrupted with a sudden lunge.

“Shut up! I don’t know you! You’re a madman! I don’t know what you’re talking about! Go to hell!”

Despite the surprise, Cory’s superior strength easily countered her attack. Pushing her away, he retorted, “Stop raving like a lunatic, you shrew!”

Aubree snarled from the ground, “You’ll suffer divine retribution for this! Do you think the Farwells will let you off just because you snitched on me?”

Ignoring her, Cory turned to Lucian and Roxanne with a conciliatory air. “Ms. Jarvis, I’m sorry, but I was just doing my job. Aubree forced me. Other than taking a few pictures, I definitely didn’t harm you.”

A look of dawning realization crossed Roxanne’s face, a stark contrast to Aubree’s usual aloof composure. Conviction hardened her expression. Aubree deserves punishment for harming the children!

Roxanne’s cold gaze settled on Cory. “What did you capture with your camera?”

Surprised by her swift reaction, Cory replied, “When you took the children camping, I saw Aubree put something into their cups. Also, I took those pictures of you and Mr. Damaris on her instructions…”

He detailed Aubree’s misdeeds amidst her continuous tirade. When he finished, she cried, “I didn’t! That wasn’t my intention, Lucian, you have to believe me!”

Cory looked at her with disdain. He’d initially perceived her as someone capable, yet here she was, groveling at Lucian’s feet.

He delivered the final blow. “I have evidence of everything she did on my camera. As for the pictures with Mr. Damaris, I have additional shots from different angles. They clearly show Ms. Jarvis wasn’t sharing an intimate moment with him.”

Aubree’s voice trailed off into sobs.

Lucian’s contempt was palpable. “What do you have to say for yourself?”

Seeing Lucian and Roxanne together, Aubree’s rage escalated. “I didn’t do anything! Roxanne framed me! Since I’ve lost everything, I’m going to drag her down with me!” Her eyes burned with fury as she glared at Roxanne.
