Lucian called Jeffrey and requested a week's leave for the children. Afterwards, the three adults took the three children on a trip to Miralaea.

Jeffrey scrutinized her. "I'm leaving them in your hands, so don't mess things up."

"Should I greet them now?"

"They've just started their week-long leave. Ms. Ward will introduce them to you upon their return."

Ophelia's eyes darkened momentarily. "I see. If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave."

Jeffrey gave her further instructions before she departed. The moment she stepped outside, her smile vanished, replaced by a glower. She strode to a corner and made a call.

The other person answered quickly.

"How did it go? Did you contact them?" Aubree asked grimly.

"I just arrived at the kindergarten, and Mr. Bauer said the children won't return for a week," Ophelia replied apologetically.

"What?" Aubree growled. "I can't wait a single second longer, yet they'll be gone for a week?"

Ophelia whispered, "There's nothing I can do. I didn't expect this coincidence. Once they return, I'll definitely…"

Aubree pinched her palm, regaining her composure. "It's fine. They can't run. Familiarize yourself with the kindergarten. Contact me again when they return." Her politeness stemmed from the lack of any obligation binding Ophelia to her.

Ophelia nodded. "I will."

With no interaction with the children, Aubree ended the call. She glanced at her phone, displaying her social media app. Seeing Roxanne's news overshadowed by numerous celebrity scandals, she scowled. "I thought this morning's reporters would cause Roxanne trouble, forcing her to give up. To my surprise, Lucian whisked her away by helicopter! I recognized it in the reporters' photos!
