Chapter 1599: They Could Not Have Gotten Lost

After reassuring Catalina, Archie and Benny rushed upstairs to their room. Archie frantically called Estella on his smartwatch while Benny attempted to locate her on his laptop. He had previously modified Estella's watch to include a tracking function, allowing him to monitor its location.

Archie was unable to reach Estella, so he asked Benny, "How's it going? Any luck?"

Benny, frowning and sweating profusely, slammed his keyboard a moment later, exclaiming, "I found her!"

Archie saw a moving green dot on the screen. "Where is she?" he asked, confused. Benny had not only located Estella but also confirmed her whereabouts. "She's at a mall near the amusement park," Benny replied. "It seems she's been there all afternoon."

Archie nodded. "If she's at a mall, I think she's just shopping."

Disappointment hung in the air. The mall and amusement park were so close; the tracker showed Estella arriving shortly after separating from them. It seemed Grandma had taken Estella to the mall to avoid them. Did Grandma dislike them that much?

Seeing the green dot still moving, Archie suppressed his disappointment. "Keep an eye on the screen," he told Benny. "If Estella's location changes, we'll call Grandma immediately." He worried Sonya might take Estella back to the Farwell main residence to keep them apart.

Benny nodded in agreement, and both boys intently watched the screen.

Less than half an hour later, the green dot moved away from the mall. Anxiety gripped them. Benny quickly determined the dot's direction. Relief washed over them as they saw Sonya and Estella heading toward the Farwell residence. Shutting down the laptop, they ran downstairs to wait.

Soon, they saw Sonya carrying Estella into the mansion, the driver trailing behind with shopping bags.

"See! They're here, aren't they? Stop crying! I told you they couldn't have gotten lost!" Sonya snapped at Estella, who had clearly been crying. Sonya was furious; despite buying Estella things to appease her, it hadn't worked, and the mall patrons had eyed her suspiciously, forcing her to return home.

The moment Estella saw Archie and Benny, she broke free from Sonya's grasp and ran to them. Heartbroken at her tears, the boys comforted her. "Stop crying, Essie. We're fine."

"I wanted to be with you guys! I didn't want to go to the mall! You weren't there!" Estella sobbed.

Sonya paled at Estella's words. Archie and Benny, feeling guilty, did their best to comfort her. "We were wrong. We shouldn't have left you alone, Essie. From now on, we'll bring you along wherever we go, okay?"
