At long last, the car arrived at the gate of Roxanne's house. Cayden eagerly stepped on the brakes, then stumbled out to open the door for the couple in the back. Only when he saw them enter the villa did he breathe a sigh of relief.

The atmosphere was never pleasant when Mr. Farwell was with Ms. Jarvis.

"Mommy! You're back!" Roxanne's three children greeted her with smiles as she walked through the door. It was their first glimpse of her outfit. "You look so pretty tonight, Mommy," Benny said sweetly.

Roxanne's mood brightened. She beamed at him. "Thank you, my dear."

Archie was about to speak when he saw another figure enter. Though his mouth turned down upon recognizing the man, he politely greeted Mr. Farwell, albeit distantly: "Hello, Mr. Farwell."

Benny, hearing his brother, turned to see the man behind his mother. Anticipation flickered in his eyes as he obediently greeted Lucian. Lucian nodded curtly to both boys.

Despite claiming to be there for Estella, Lucian's gaze briefly swept over her before returning to Roxanne.

Archie and Benny smelled alcohol and looked at their mother with concern. "Have you been drinking, Mommy? Does your head hurt?"

Roxanne smiled warmly. "Not at all. I've only had a little."

Despite her reassurance, the boys remained uneasy. Archie ran for the medical kit to get hangover pills while Benny thoughtfully poured a glass of water and placed it on the coffee table. Estella helped Roxanne to the couch.

With the children's meticulous care, Roxanne forgot the evening's negativity.

As she watched her mother take the pills, Archie hesitated before turning to Lucian, who was still standing at the door. "Did you drink as well?"

Lucian raised an eyebrow slightly. "A little."

Archie looked at the pills, then at Lucian, and hesitantly approached him. "Would you like one?"

Lucian's gaze softened slightly as he leaned to accept the offer. "Thank you."

Archie merely pursed his lips. He returned to Roxanne's side, replacing the pills. Roxanne was fussing over the children, caressing their heads. "What have you three been up to tonight?"

Excited, Benny grabbed Roxanne's arm to help her up. She rose curiously and followed him to the carpet, where a nearly one-meter-tall Lego fairytale castle stood.

Benny beamed. "We finished building the castle!"

Archie and Estella shared his excitement.

Roxanne examined the castle for several minutes, surprised. Since Estella's arrival, Roxanne had worried she might not enjoy her sons' toys, so she'd bought them a Lego set a week earlier that they could work on together. Despite the set containing over twenty thousand pieces, they'd finished it remarkably quickly.

"You kids are amazing!" Roxanne exclaimed, grinning.

The children glowed at her praise. Estella ran to the castle and, pointing with a stubby finger to a small room on the left, looked at Roxanne with bright, anticipatory eyes.
