Chapter 1818: Full Frontal Assault
Inside Friedaโs office, a finance officer reported, โDue to the recent price increase, our expenses this month have significantly risen. However, our clients are diligently settling their payments. Our largest client, Dr. Jarvisโ research institute and factory, is nearly finished paying; once they do, our profits will increase substantially.โ
Frieda swiftly signed the necessary documents and gestured for him to leave.
Shortly afterward, Shawn entered with a bouquet of red roses, which he presented to her. Frieda, overjoyed, stood and rushed toward him.
โYou shouldnโt do that in your office; people outside can see us through the frosted glass,โ she said, smiling. He placed the roses down and hugged her waist.
โI donโt care. In fact, Iโm willing to announce to everyone that youโre my woman!โ Frieda reveled in the bliss of their romance. He was the one who had taught her to raise the purchase price of medicinal herbs, drawing the companies closer while simultaneously hindering Roxanne. With the increased cost of raw materials, her plans to sell her medicine cheaply were thwarted. She had achieved what Jack couldn't, all according to Shawnโs plan. Even Lucian couldn't control the medicine's price now; how could he when everyone in the supply chain was profiting more?
โYouโve been doing exceptionally well! I have some free time today; after work, Iโll take you to a fine restaurant for dinner,โ Shawn said, pleased with her infatuation. He possessed a certain charm that compelled women to do his bidding, even to their own detriment.
โOkay. Wait for me. Iโll be finished soon,โ Frieda replied, kissing him gleefully.
After leaving her office, he entered his Bentley. With a sneer, he sent a client list to his assistant, then called him. โContact every client on this list. Tell them theyโll earn twenty percent more profit than with Farwell Group. I donโt believe they dislike money!โ
His assistant hesitated. โAll of them, Mr. Crawford? Isnโt that overly ambitious? What if someone reports it to Lucian?โ
Shawn confidently assured him, โI doubt it! This is a standard quotation process. Many companies have likely done the same. Even if they refuse, they wonโt expose it for fear of jeopardizing their position.โ
His assistant proceeded with the full-frontal assault. Adrune, Archulea, and EpeaโFarwell Group's largest export marketsโwere his targets, to be dealt with sequentially. His backing included not only ambitious families from the north but also those from the south who had been ruthlessly suppressed by Farwell Group. All eagerly awaited Farwell Group's collapse.
โItโs almost time to settle our familiesโ scores, Lucian. This time, I will defeat you!โ A sharp glint appeared in Shawn's eyes.
