Chapter 1853: Admiration

โ€œTechnique is the first step in production,โ€ Elektra began, addressing Roxanne with the practiced ease of an entrepreneur. โ€œSo, I propose a seventy-thirty company split, with you holding the majority stake. You'd be CEO, I'd be executive general manager, and the company would be registered under your name. Thatโ€™s my most sincere offer.โ€

Elektra had clearly done her homework, presenting in-depth market analyses, product pricing strategies, and brand-building plans. Her passion for the product was palpable. She believed Roxanne was the ideal partner; Roxanneโ€™s research institute, and its expertise in herbal compound analysis, enjoyed unparalleled public trust. Elektra even knew about Roxanne's acne-reducing endocrine regulation drug.

After careful consideration, Roxanne deemed the investment feasible. โ€œI need to discuss this opportunity with my colleagues at the institute,โ€ she explained. โ€œPlease forgive my inability to give an immediate answer.โ€

Roxanne could have decided independently, but she offered this pretext. While her institute staff completely trusted her, she wanted Lucian's input, valuing his extensive business experience. A partnership with the Farwell Group was another possibility, eliminating the need for Elektra. However, she felt that would betray Elektra's trust.

Elektra nodded, concealing her anxiety. โ€œOf course. Many people's interests are at stake. Take a few days to consider it.โ€

Roxanne subsequently discussed details with Elektra, who handled them effortlessly, demonstrating thorough preparation. In that moment, Elektra even felt her loyalty wavering. Christina's revenge plan had initially motivated her, but this investment opportunity was too promising. Success would significantly elevate the Lane family's standing and establish Elektra's own accomplishments.

Two hours later, Elektra left the Farwell residence without saying goodbye to Lucian.

Upstairs, Roxanne helped the children shower and settle in.

โ€œYou two talked a long time,โ€ Lucian observed. โ€œSomething important?โ€

Roxanne still found Elektra's partnership proposal unbelievable. Madilyn warned me Elektra is Lucian's childhood friend, she thought. She even wanted to accompany him alone on Nicholas's rescue mission. What is she thinking? Am I overthinking this? Does she genuinely want to succeed?

After considerable reflection, and seeing Lucian awaiting her response, Roxanne detailed the investment proposal. Lucian listened intently, his eyes approving.

โ€œItโ€™s a sound idea,โ€ he said. โ€œI've considered it before, but worried about the increased workload for you. With Elektra handling operations, it seems very promising.โ€ As long as Roxanne remained in control, Lucian felt no need to compete. This approach had been key to his securing partnerships with many influential families for the Farwell Group.

โ€œSo, it's doable?โ€ Roxanne asked. โ€œI've priced the products very low, resulting in poor profit margins for the institute. I've felt bad about not offering better compensation to the R&D staff. But cosmeceuticals offer a chance to change that. Building a brand and capturing market share from luxury Epean brands could allow us to build more domestic factories and create jobs.โ€

A twinkle lit Lucian's eyes as he listened, his admiration for Roxanne deepening. Her strategic thinking and foresight were continuously improving.
