Chapter 1863: Allure and Sheen

Roxanne's research institute launched two new products after a month of preparation: Allure Essence and Sheen Lotion. Both underwent a week of random sampling before their official launch. Results indicated both performed comparably to international luxury brands. Elektra personally tested the products, enlisting friends and family as well.

The initial five thousand sets were immediately purchased by Horington's celebrities and noblewomen. Sonya, however, had preemptively secured a few sets from Roxanne to repay favors. The products became a sensation among upper-class socialites; those unable to acquire them were subtly ostracized. Prices escalated rapidly, officially priced at twelve hundred and eighty-eight, but resold for ten thousand more.

Roxanne's confidence soared. She celebrated the successful launch with her staff. Elektra arrived early the next morning to discuss the next production phase.

โ€œElektra, I think we shouldnโ€™t be overly aggressive, but we also won't target the lower markets. Let's keep the second phase at one hundred thousand sets. A monthly production phase is already quite fast. I don't want scalpers profiting from this, so the quantity should be appropriate.โ€

A month of collaboration had fostered a close working relationship between Roxanne and Elektra. Elektra, having primarily interacted with Roxanne, rarely encountered Lucian. This underscored Elektra's career ambition.

โ€œThat's too low, Roxanne. Consider nationwide sales; demand is high. Our market research shows over four to five hundred thousand online buyers alone! We need at least two hundred thousand sets. We can expand production lines and hire more workers.โ€

Elektra's standing within the Lane family had improved dramatically. Although unrelated to Roxanne's company, two Lane family businesses saw their stock prices double. Elektra enjoyed the benefits, including her parents' cessation of marriage pressure, replaced by daily concern for her well-being. The Lane family's branches viewed Elektra as a symbol of renewed prosperity, while investors anticipated significant returns.

Elektra's success led to near-total disregard for Christina. Repeated calls went unanswered, dismissed with excuses.

โ€œAlright, I hadn't anticipated such intense demand. We lacked the capacity initially.โ€ Roxanne conceded, acknowledging Elektraโ€™s superior marketing expertise. Roxanne's focus remained primarily on research.

Thrilled, Elektra shared more positive news. โ€œHorington officials have been incredibly supportive, granting expedited approval for commercial property and significant tax breaks! Several foreign luxury brands are investigating our products, even headhunting our researchers with lucrative offers. We need to be prepared for this.โ€

Finally, Elektra mentioned, โ€œThe editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine wants to interview you today. Are you available? If not, I can decline on your behalf.โ€
