Chapter 1986: My Children

โ€œArchie, Benny, are you okay? Does it hurt?โ€ Lucian helped the two kids up, his eyes filled with concern as he looked at the blood trickling down their knees. He was enveloped in an intense malevolent aura.

Estella also rushed over to check on her brothers. Seeing their injuries and bleeding, her eyes immediately reddened, and tears threatened to fall.

โ€œLucian, donโ€™t let those kids get away!โ€ Roxanne, feeling rage boil within her, ran over. Those children had obviously harmed Archie and Benny on purpose; she clearly saw there were four of them. Four against two, a sneak attackโ€”those kids were simply evil.

Lucian kept his eyes on the four kids, noticing their attempt to use the crowd to escape. As soon as Roxanne arrived, he sprang into action, giving chase.

โ€œMommy, come look at Archie and Benny!โ€ Estella cried helplessly.

Roxanneโ€™s heart tightened. Reaching them, she crouched down to examine the boysโ€™ injuries. Fortunately, the wounds were minor scrapes and bleeding. She quickly cleaned them with wet wipes.

โ€œDoes it hurt?โ€ Roxanne carefully checked for any debris.

โ€œMommy, donโ€™t worry. It doesnโ€™t hurt that much,โ€ Archie said, trying to comfort his mother.

Benny also comforted Estella, โ€œEssie, weโ€™re fine. We arenโ€™t afraid of a little blood; weโ€™re tough guys!โ€

Roxanne led the children to the car, retrieved her medical kit, and carefully disinfected the wounds, stopped the bleeding, and applied a medicinal powder to promote rapid scab formation and prevent scarring. It was a special preparation she kept on hand for just such emergencies.

Soon, Lucian returned with the four children, his expression dark. He wasn't letting them go.

โ€œArchie, Benny. Do you recognize these children?โ€ Roxanne glared at the four kids.

โ€œWe do,โ€ Archie and Benny nodded, explaining that the four were in their class at the art academy. While students chose their courses, they still belonged to specific classes; these four, like Archie and Benny, were in the sixth class of the first grade.

Lucianโ€™s voice was cold as he explained, โ€œI asked them. These four targeted Archie and Benny because they excel in their courses while these children are at the bottom of the class. They were jealous and sought revenge.โ€ He fixed his gaze on the tallest child, the ringleader, Zaron Rynder.

The four childrenโ€™s parents soon arrived, appearing familiar with one another, laughing and chatting as if their children's misbehavior was commonplace.

โ€œThat bastard, Zaron, must have bullied a classmate again. Damn it. I have to pay compensation every month because of him,โ€ Zaronโ€™s father, Dave Rynder, said unconcernedly. The other parents echoed his sentiment. Dave held a high social status; the other children were only admitted to the academy because of his connections.

Upon seeing Lucian and Roxanne, and observing his sonโ€™s unusually submissive demeanor, Dave was surprised.

โ€œDid you hit someone again? Whose child did you beat up this time?โ€ Dave glanced at Lucian and Roxanne, seemingly unconcerned by their apparent wealth. His question dripped with contempt.

Lucianโ€™s expression darkened. Stepping closer to the corpulent Dave, his tall figure loomed over the other man.

โ€œYour child harmed my children, the scions of the Farwell family!โ€ His voice was filled with raging hostility.
