Jonathan nodded, agreeing with Lucian. Every business prioritizes profit, and Herbscape Group was no exception.

"Queen Group has more dealings with Herbscape Group, so let me handle this," Jonathan said, gazing at Lucian. He added silently, Lucian should focus on Dr. Jarvis. It's been too long, and their relationship hasn't progressed. I'm starting to worry about him!

Lucian nodded. "We'll do whatever it takes to persuade Herbscape Group."

Jonathan's heart pounded. Lucian's words suggested a serious argument with Dr. Jarvis. His curiosity piqued. "Did something happen between you and Dr. Jarvis again?"

Lucian's face fell. "Nothing happened."

Jonathan remained skeptical. Sensing this, Lucian rubbed his temple, suppressing his anger. "It was a minor disagreement. I'm working on it," he said evasively.

Jonathan wondered if Lucian planned to dismiss Roxanne. However, sensing Lucian's distress, he changed the subject. "Remember our last conversation? Did you do anything romantic with Dr. Jarvis?"

Lucian shook his head. "I didn't get the chance."

Jonathan nodded knowingly. Of course not. Otherwise, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Lucian, wanting to end the conversation, stood. "Where's Old Mr. Queen?"

Jonathan, understanding Lucian's intent, replied, "He should be exercising in the backyard now," pointing towards it. Alfred had fully recovered from his years of confinement and now walked frequently.

Lucian nodded and headed for the door. "I'll greet Old Mr. Queen." Jonathan followed.

Frieda, hearing them leave the study, attempted to flee, but too late. Lucian opened the door to find her standing suspiciously outside.

"Lucian," she greeted awkwardly, desperately searching for an excuse. "I came to see if you needed more coffee. I didn't expect your discussion to end so quickly," she stammered.

Lucian offered a cold glance and passed her without a word. Jonathan followed, his face grim at the sight of his sister. He watched Lucian descend the stairs before turning to Frieda. "Stop getting any more ideas! If anything happens, even I can't help you!"

Jonathan knew Frieda disliked Roxanne, and that Lucian wouldn't forgive her if she harmed Roxanne, even considering their shared history.
