Chapter 829: Not the Way to Do It

“Aubree!” Frieda hurried to Aubree’s side, seating herself opposite. She was already late; after overhearing Jonathan and Lucian’s conversation, she’d immediately arranged this meeting, only to be delayed by Jonathan.

Aubree, startled by Frieda’s voice, looked up with displeasure. “Why are you late? And why are you looking for me?”

Frieda produced a beautiful white handbag. “Here. The bag I promised.”

Frieda’s eyes lit up. “Thank you, Aubree!” she exclaimed, taking the bag. Aubree grinned. “So, what’s up?”

Frieda’s gaze fell on Aubree’s phone. “I saw you looking at something. May I see?”

Aubree raised an eyebrow, then slid her phone across the table. “Go ahead.”

Frieda saw pictures of Roxanne and Jack together. Astonishment flooded her face. “Roxanne? She and Jack…”

Roxanne’s previous scandal hadn’t concerned Frieda; she’d only cared about ruining Roxanne’s reputation. But public opinion had shifted, and seeing these pictures, Frieda suspected a genuine relationship. Logically, with Old Mr. Damaris around, Roxanne should have been with him, not Jack. Yet, Old Mr. Damaris didn’t seem to object. It looked like they had his blessing.

Aubree retrieved her phone, pleased with Frieda’s reaction. “Exactly. After you told me Roxanne was collaborating with the Damaris family, I had someone monitor her. These photos were the result.”

Frieda was stunned. “You should send these to Lucian immediately! He needs to see this b*tch’s true colors!”

Aubree sneered. “No need to rush. I’m considering the best way to reveal this. It’ll be quite a surprise.”

Frieda frowned, remembering her purpose. “You should send them now. Lucian just went to see my brother. I overheard them discussing Roxanne again.”

Aubree’s expression darkened. “What did they say?”

“Lucian plans to have my brother acquire Herbscape Group. He mentioned Roxanne is their technical advisor. If they succeed, Lucian will be even more entangled with that b*tch!” Frieda gestured towards Aubree’s phone. “Send the pictures anonymously! He’ll drop the idea.”

A cold glint appeared in Aubree’s eyes. “I will send them, but not directly to Lucian. That’s not the way to do it.”
