Meanwhile, Roxanne had finished breakfast and sent Archie and Benny to kindergarten. Teacher Pippa Ward greeted them with concern. “How are Archie and Benny? Are they feeling better?”

Roxanne smiled. “Yes, they’ve recovered. Thank you.”

The boys politely greeted Ms. Ward. Her eyes softened at their good manners.

Suddenly, a car door slammed. Everyone turned to see a Bentley pull up. Lucian stepped out, scooping Estella from the backseat. Estella, however, struggled to get down upon seeing Roxanne and her brothers. Lucian complied, but as he reached for her hand, she ran to Roxanne. He turned, surprised to see Roxanne and the boys smiling warmly at Estella, Roxanne already walking towards her.
