Listen to this chapter:

The Five Provinces Business Alliance had a representative in each of the five provinces' cities. Each family head served as a council member of the alliance. The Watsons, a family from Cansington, also joined the alliance. While not among Cansington's "Great Four," the Watsons possessed significantly greater assets and were considered one of the city's most prominent families.

Cansington's council member, Gavin Watson, was in a company meeting when he received a furious call from the alliance president. Gavin immediately contacted the Xenoses, bringing their leader, his lover, and dozens of security guards—the same individuals who had attacked the Callahans—to make amends.

At the Callahans' villa, the family remained shaken. "Is there any news yet, Brody?" Tommy asked anxiously. Brody was doubtful; the Xenoses were powerful, and the Colemans wouldn't offend them for someone like him.

The doorbell rang. Megan answered and was stunned to find dozens of people kneeling outside. "Isn't this Zack, his lover, and the security guards who attacked us?" she gasped.

A man in his forties stepped forward. "Forgive the intrusion, but is Mr. Callahan home? I'm Gavin Watson, Cansington's council member for the Five Provinces Business Alliance."

Megan exclaimed, "Cansington's council member? He's here in person? And why are they kneeling?" She called for Lex.

Lex, upon seeing Gavin, trembled. He bowed respectfully. "Mr. Watson, what brings you here?"

Lex's shock deepened at the sight of Zack and the others kneeling. Gavin said respectfully, "Mr. Callahan, the Xenoses acted disrespectfully. I apologize. They are here to beg your forgiveness and are at your disposal."

Lex was stunned. A council member apologizing personally? Even a member of the Xenoses was kneeling? Howard and Tommy emerged, equally astonished by the scene.

Lex's silence was lengthy. Gavin then grabbed Zack by the hair, slapping him repeatedly. Zack, vomiting blood, cried, begging for mercy. "Mr. Callahan, I was a fool! I didn't know you… knew the general!"

Lex understood. Brody, who had arrived, believed his uncle had intervened after his call.
