Listen to this chapter:

James greeted Newton and immediately turned to the girl holding Newton's arm. "Mr. Quinn, who is she?"

Newton explained, "James, this is my granddaughter, Serena Quinn."

James nodded. "Three days from now, go to The Great Four and take over the Cadens' businesses."

Newton was taken aback. "James, this" He knew James possessed insider information. The Cadens had left the Capital thirty years ago, and Newton, having been by his grandfather's side, knew their history and the details surrounding the Moonlit Flowers on Cliffside's Edge, including who was targeting them.

James said, "Hey, thank you for your help. I'll treat you to a meal." He then looked at the Blithe King.

The Blithe King nodded slightly and gave the order, "Retreat."

After the military retreated, the Blithe King addressed the assembled men from The Great Four and the underworld. With a cold expression, he warned, "Behave yourselves." There were too many of them; there wouldn't be enough prison space if they were all arrested. James, however, didn't intend to pursue the matter further.

The men from The Great Four and the underworld didn't dare object. They murmured assurances: "Yes," "We won't tell a soul," "I saw nothing," "What happened? Weren't we just here for the funeral of the Great Four's leaders?"

The Blithe King left quickly. James took Newton and Serena to the car. After the military and the Blithe King departed, the remaining members of The Great Four and the underworld figures breathed a collective sigh of relief, collapsing to the ground, wiping sweat from their brows.

"Holy sh*t," one whispered. "Who is James? How did he get the Blithe King to appear? A hundred-thousand-strong army! Just thinking about it is terrifying."

"We'll be killed if we investigate," another said. "We barely escaped with our lives."

They left immediately. The remaining members of The Great Four began burying the deceased. The immediate threat was over.

However, news of the hundred-thousand-strong army sent shockwaves through Cansington. The mobilization of a hundred combat aircraft, tanks, armored vehicles, and convoys was too conspicuous. The citizens of Cansington discussed the event openly. After his return, the Blithe King issued a statement declaring it a military exercise. The outside world was convinced, but those in the know remained silent.

After showering at the Goodview Villa District in the House of Royals, James changed clothes. Serena, nervously gripping Newton's arm, sat on a luxurious sofa in the palace-like foyer, glancing at James, who held a cigarette.

"Mr. Quinn," James began, "since you've been with my grandfather, you should know the Cadens inside and out. They left the Capital thirty years ago, but I've found nothing, no matter how hard I've searched. What's going on?"

Newton looked reluctant, his gaze flitting to James. The earlier scene replayed in his mind. Though he hadn't been in Cansington for years, he knew the Blithe King. And the man before him was James Caden, the survivor of the Caden residence fire ten years prior.

"J-James who are you?" Newton finally asked. The mobilization of a hundred-thousand-strong army by the Blithe King was beyond his comprehension. Just how powerful was James?

"The General of the million-strong Black Dragon army of the Southern Plains," James replied. "Along with the Blithe King of the West, the Centurion of the North, the Barbarian King of the East, and the Emperor of the Capital, I am one of the five commanders of Sol."
