Zavier was fascinated by Thea's beauty. He'd seen countless beautiful women abroad and, given his family background, had even socialized with many celebrities. However, he was beyond casual relationships. "You're mine, Thea," he murmured, reaching toward her outside the window, clenching his fist before retracting his hand and placing it on his chest with a loving expression.
Meanwhile, Thea remained oblivious to his interest. She sipped wine, her flushed cheeks adding to her charm. James, captivated by her beauty—extremely beautiful, he thought—sat opposite her. He watched as she held her wine glass, radiating a mesmerizing aura. "What are you looking at?" she asked, making an eye-gouging gesture. "You see me every day. Haven't you had enough?"
"I'll never have enough in my lifetime," James replied with a smile. Thea felt a flutter in her heart. "Stop joking," she said, pursing her lips. "I'm full. Let's not go home yet; let's look around."
James nodded. "Alright."
From his luxurious seat, Zavier also watched, mesmerized by her beauty. Even her eye-gouging gesture, the elegant movement of her slender arms, took his breath away.
"Hurry and prepare some gifts for me. I'm going to visit the Callahans," he commanded. He couldn't bear the thought of such a beautiful woman with someone he considered so unworthy. Only a genius like himself, he believed, was worthy of Thea. He immediately ordered his people to prepare lavish gifts. "Remember, the more expensive, the better!"
Thea and James paid for their meal and left, subsequently enjoying some shopping and a movie. Meanwhile, Zavier arrived at the Callahans' house with his gifts.
Knock, knock, knock!
Gladys opened the door, stunned by the handsome man in a white suit, laden with gifts. "W-Who are you looking for?"
"Madam, are you Thea's mother?" Zavier asked smoothly. "Huh? Yes, I am, and you are?"
"Nice to meet you. I've come to see you specifically."
"Oh, okay. Come in." Gladys was confused. Who is this Zavier guy, and what does he want with me? she wondered.
Once inside, Zavier presented his gifts. "Madam, this is a bracelet. It's a pair, and they cost about two million dollars. This necklace is another gift—one million, eight hundred and eighty thousand dollars. This earring is" He continued, revealing a multitude of expensive presents.
Gladys was dumbfounded, as were David, Megan, and Benjamin. "I can't accept this," Gladys exclaimed, refusing the gifts.
"Madam, please accept them. ActuallyI'm here because of Thea. I was mesmerized by her the moment I saw her. By the way, I haven't introduced myself. I'm from the Watsons; my father is Gavin Watson, the Cansington representative for the Five Provinces Business Alliance. We're the only family from Cansington in the alliance. Our family assets are about a hundred billion dollars. However, we maintain a relatively low profile, unlike the Celestial Group or Longevity Pharmaceuticals."
"What? A hundred billion in assets? The Watsons?" Gladys gasped, equally shocked as David, who quickly pulled his stunned mother aside. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Watson," David said smoothly. "I'm Thea's younger brother, David."
"Oh, you're her brother? I didn't bring a gift for you, despite this being our first meeting. I have many cars collecting dust; this five-million-dollar Firarre is for you." Zavier presented a car key. He then produced a set of keys for a villa in the Goodview Villa District, offering it to Thea's father.
"No, we can't accept this," they protested, utterly overwhelmed. Benjamin was speechless. The gifts were simply too extravagant.
"MrMr. Watson," Gladys stammered, "are you interested in Thea?" When had her daughter become so valuable?
"Yes, madam. Even if it doesn't work out with Thea, I won't take these gifts back. I hope you'll help me."
"Haha! That won't be a problem at all!" Gladys beamed, her mouth agape. A rich son-in-law? This man was far superior to James in every way. "I'll call Thea home now. You two can have a date. It's up to you young people; we old folks shouldn't interfere," she declared, thoroughly pleased.
